An extreamly easy way to make large amounts of money, at least on my server, is through the farming of heavy clefthoof leather inside of Nagrand. The reason this is such a reliable money making tool is because of the amount of high end leather working recipes that require large amounts of it.
The way one can aquire it is by killing Clefthoof bulls (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=17132) and then skinning the corpse. Also it can be purchased at the darkmoon faire from Lhara, exotic goods merchant.
The only drawback to this money method is the drop rate is somewhat low (30% according to wowhead).
