Light/Medium Leather and Linen/Wool Cloth Farming Spot

So there are a few other guides that show where to farm wool cloth and if that is all you are after then those might be better spots. I was farming this spot with my level 43 rogue so I could level my leatherworking and get some cloth for the AH since it's still stupid high on my server.

1/2 an hour of farming before posting here yielded;

  • -48 Light Leather
  • -37 Medium Leather
  • -2 Light Hide
  • -4 Medium Hide
  • -32 Wool Cloth
  • -19 Linen Cloth
  • -7 Silk Cloth
  • -2 Greens

The re-spawn rates are around 3-6 seconds and there are a constant 5 that spawn, wait around 5-7 seconds then charge to fight the other mobs.

The mobs are Ebon Slavehunters, they are level 24-25 and have around 650-700HP and drop between 72 copper to 1silver 20 copper.

Here is the exact spot I farmed.

and Here is the map to show the spot.

Hope this helps anyone who is looking for a good spot for (mainly alliance) to farm leather for their Leatherworking/Skinning. Enjoy!

Oh yea, if you need Black Whelp Scales you can skin the Ebon Whelps that are around the same area. They sell for 30g/stack on my server so it wasn't a bad idea to change up the pace some.

There is also a random (very small) chance of getting a vanity pet Tiny Crimson Whelping

DREAM Paragon vs Heroic Ragnaros - video's out

For anyone wondering, Paragon said they were going to hold off the release of the video until a 2nd guild killed Ragnaros. That 2nd guild was Method. The coordination is just brilliant. There are some points where they look like a choreographed dance troop... very impressed and very humbled that I'll never be that good. That nerdgasm on vent at the end was glorious! :)

Oslo Bomber Manifesto Cites World of Warcraft as Training Tools

Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian terrorist who bombed a government city center and then went on a shooting rampage which carries a current death toll of 87, wrote a 1,500-page manifesto detailing his purpose and training techniques. The 32-year-old, deeply conservative Breivik claimed Modern Warfare 2 was "a training simulation." He continues, "You can more or less completely simulate actual operations."

He would also use World of Warcraft to enter into a social isolation. He found people accepting if he told them he was "raiding a dungeon," leaving him time to both play and plot out his devastation. Players who were part of his online guild or joined in for questing suspected nothing. Some were friends for years, claiming he was, "an overall nice guy."

It's hard to tell what role, if any, games have to play in this tragedy. On more local soil, the "video games defense" has been thrown out, lawyers pushing it more or less to seek lighter sentences. Breivik, on the other hand, clearly knew what he was doing, in his mind his country being taken over by the Muslim religion. Call of Duty Modern Warfare being what it is, a fight taking place within certain current conflicts, certainly suited his own warped mindset.

Some type of direct blame is always a stretch, people seeking answers without resorting to logic. Breivik's case opens the door for religious fundamentalism, racism, drastically absurd patriotism, and of course video games as possible contributions. At the end of the day, people subscribe to all of those things, and yet don't see fit to shoot over 80 innocent people. Breivik is crazy and always will be. That's the only simple explanation.

World Of Warcraft Coming To Brazil This Year

Blizzard is expanding World of Warcraft into a big new market. They revealed that a localized Brazilian Portuguese version will be released in the South American country later this year.

"One of our top priorities is ensuring that our games are easily accessible to players all around the world. By offering a fully localized version of World of Warcraft along with customer service in Brazilian Portuguese, we’re able to deliver an experience that meets our standards and the expectations of our players in Brazil," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment CEO. "We look forward to welcoming Brazilian gamers to the global World of Warcraft community, and we hope they have a great time in Azeroth."

Brazilian Portuguese will be the ninth supported language for WoW. It's the third supported language for Latin America. Players in those countries currently have a choice of either English or Spanish.

Current players on North American realms will be able to download a free file to add the new language to the game. Blizzard intends to create Brazilian Portuguese realms in the future as well.

Still the best fucking way to enter an expansion... ever.

Going through the dark portal was definitely awesome. Too bad two minutes later they asked me to kill some boars.

im pretty sure the devs of all major MMO companies got together one day and unanimously decided that boar killing should be a staple activity in MMORPGs, or Maybe it was just a result of the telephone game. The WoW developers got the sentence "MMOs should be about killing boredom" After it had gone down the line roughly 25 times.

Safe Spot to camp Deth'tilac

I use the engineering cloak tinker in the video, but testing shows this is NOT necessesary.
first get a spider in combat. ice trap it. this will keep you in combat allowing you to repeatedly use Disengage.
after that, just follow the video!
i put it in exploration because its kind of Exploration-ish.

As another good tip, you can make the following macro

#showtooltip
/cast !Eagle Eye

with this you can Eagle eye from an eagle eye location, and check the OTHER rarespawns every few minuites! i just found Skarr for a guildmate of mine, without leaving deth'tilac's spawn point!

Blizzard Starts Cross-Realm Test Phase

Those of you who are familiar with World of Warcraft will probably have noticed a few changes that have gone live in the Battle.net systems this week, in which a new button has appeared in your friends list that enables you to add one of your Real ID friends to a group.
What this button does is allow you, the player, to add up to 4 members of your preference, including yourself to a group and then queue up for dungeon instances despite what realm you are all playing on.
Obviously, you must be a part of the same faction for this to work, but it should be welcomed for players who have friends on different servers who wish to play together from time to time.
When Battle.net was first launched last year, World of Warcraft players were promised a wealth of new features and options that would allow much more social interaction than just adding character names to your friends list from the same server.
It is hard to imagine a time when this, and the random dungeon feature didn’t exist. Players are no longer required to spam the chat with messages inviting players to do specific dungeons, and can now do this as easily as pressing two buttons.
With the new feature added, which Blizzard say will be free while the testing phase is finished, players can socially interact and play with players regardless of realm, although Blizzard also say that it will eventually become a premium feature. In the official WoW blog, Blizzard state that “This system is designed to make it easier for real-life friends to play together.”
As the test comes to a close, Blizzard will reveal any costs that will be associated with the service, but no word on how long this ‘free’ test will last.
Blizzard did a similar thing a little while ago, when they made it functional for players to chat within their guild, even if they were not playing. This was part of the Remote Auction House application that now requires you to pay a monthly fee to use.
Battle.net has come a long way since it was first conceived way back when, but with more and more services like this appearing, it can only lead to bigger and better things.
Have you tried the new feature yet? What are your opinions? Have you had any issues or has it been flawless for you? You can find out more information regarding the Cross-Realm Read ID Party feature via this official FAQ.

New World Of Warcraft Novel Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects Now In Stores

If you need something to read while you're not in Azeroth, note that a new World of Warcraft novel just hit stores. World of Warcraft: Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects is now available in hardcover and eBook form.

The novel stars Thrall, the former Horde warchief. Prior to the release of the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion, the young orc gave up his leadership of the Horde and joined the group of shamans known as the Earthen Ring. He and the other shaman work tirelessly to repair the damage inflicted on the world by Deathwing, the mad black dragon.

"Unable to focus on his duties, Thrall undertakes a seemingly menial task from an unexpected source: the mysterious green Dragon Aspect, Ysera," reads the publisher's description of the novel. "This humble endeavor soon becomes a journey spanning the lands of Azeroth and the timeways of history itself, bringing Thrall into contact with ancient dragonflights. Divided by conflict and mistrust, these dragons have become easy prey to a horrific new weapon unleashed by Deathwing's servants . . . a living nightmare engineered to exterminate Azeroth's winged guardians."

Twilight of the Aspects was penned by Christie Golden. She's written severalWarcraft novels in the past, including World of Warcraft: Arthas: Rise of the Lich King and Warcraft: Rise of the Horde. Golden also has several StarCraft, Star Wars and Star Trek novels to her name.

Paragon Down's 25man Herioc Ragnaros

Yesterday Paragon has downed 25m herioc Ragnaros, ending the race to the down. This was done very quickly and can make some people wonder if Blizzard's content is getting too easy. However Paragon doesn't think so, here is there announcement on the down.

The Firelord lies dead in a pile of ashes.
Ragnaros: Too soon!
Or was it? No, not really. Not if you ask us.

We've NEVER put as much effort into a kill as we now did on downing Heroic Ragnaros. We had a few grueling low percentage wipes and we were already planning on continuing early tomorrow with a better set of gear. Our kill attempt was going to be our last pull of the night as the thunderstorms and disconnects were kicking in.
Then everything clicked. All of our combined effort, practicing, theorycrafting and planning finally paid off. We had a near-perfect try and Ragnaros just melted away. A wave of relief washed over us. It was finally over. We wiped 500+ times on the boss, although I lost count at some point. Absolutely epic feeling after such an epic fight!

We'd really like to thank all of you guys for supporting us. We also would like to extend our gratitude to our sponsors who help us do what we do; a big thank you to SteelSeriesASUS and especially our new partner DREAM! We'd of course like to thank Blizzard and the developers as well. The hotfixes were lightning fast.
We will be releasing a video of our kill later on -- most likely as soon as someone else kills Ragnaros on Heroic. Until then, keep following us!

Well at least we can be sure this won't happen anymore:

Stat Priorities

I've decided to throw together an assortment of current class priorities, I will be just doing the classes I play, and will +rep to anyone who helps me out with this compendium. This information is up to date as of 4.2.

Death Knight:

Frost:
Strength > Yellow Hit to Cap > Expertise to Cap > Haste > Mastery > Crit
Not much to add here. Ignore socket bonuses and gem 40 strength, unless there's a socket bonus of 20 strength or more.

Unholy:
Strength > Hit to Cap > Haste > Mastery > Expertise to Cap > Crit
Ditto.

Blood:
There's no definite priority, as exists with dps classes. The best you can do is experiment and see what works best for you, this is my recommendation:
Enough health that you can survive 3-4 hits from a boss. This is referred to as the stamina soft cap.
Mastery, a lot of it. It's more consistent than dodge/ parry.
Keep your dodge and parry as close to equal as possible, as they both suffer diminishing returns.
With hit and expertise, I avoid it as much as possible. My knowledge is limited strictly to 6/7 ten mans at the moment, but I never have any issues holding threat. We regain the runes we lose if our attacks miss, or get dodged/parried, so all we lose is a GCD.

--

Hunter:

Marksman:
Agility > Hit to cap > Crit > Haste to 12.98% > Mastery > additional haste
The reason you only want 12.93% is so that you'll never fall bellow the GCD cap (1.0 sec cast time). Mastery will outperform haste in any aoe situation. Gem straight agility, unless there's a 20 agility+ socket bonus.

Survival:
Agility > Hit to cap > Crit > Mastery > Haste
This one is pretty straight forward, imo. Gem straight agility, unless there's a 20 agility+ socket bonus.

Beast Mastery:
N/A. You shouldn't be raiding as BM.

--

Druid:

Feral dps:
Agility > Mastery > Crit > Haste > hit/ exp
Don't go for the hit/ exp caps. Gem straight agility, unless there's a 20 agility+ socket bonus.

Feral tanking:
Help?

Resto:
Intellect > 2005 haste > 916 haste > mastery > Crit
Use any amount of spirit you feel comfortable with. Don't add any haste past 916 until you can get up to 2005. Gem straight intellect, unless there's a 20+ intellect socket bonus.

--

Rogue:

Assassination:
Agility > Spell hit cap > Mastery > Haste > Expertise to cap > Crit
Not much to say here, Crit and expertise suck, avoid them. Gem straight agility, unless there's a 20 agility+ socket bonus.

Combat:
Agility > Yellow hit > Expertise to cap > Haste > Spell hit > Mastery > Crit
Another very straightforward stat priority, love playing a rogue. Gem straight agility, unless there's a 20 agility+ socket bonus.

Subtlety:
N/A. You shouldn't be raiding as subtlety.

--

Mage:

Arcane:
Intellect > Hit to cap > haste to soft cap (1.0 cast time on Arcane Blast with BL/ cooldowns up) > Mastery > Crit
There's a lot of debate about the arcane stat priority, but this is what I've found to work best. If you're really interested in the couple hundred dps you could gain by truly individualizing, run 'er through a spreadsheet. Gem straight intellect, unless there's a 20+ intellect socket bonus.

Fire:
Intellect > Hit to cap > Haste > Crit > Mastery
Gem straight intellect, unless there's a 20+ intellect socket bonus.

Frost:
Help?

[Molten Front Achievement] Easier/Faster "Death from Above" & "Ready for Raiding II"

Death From Above (From Druid of the Talon Daily Hub) :

Bomb the following elementals during a bombing run in the Molten Front.
Criteria : Ragepyre, Flashfire, Heatflayer, Blazefury, Hatespark, Singeslayer

Ready for Raiding II (From Call of the Ancients Hub):

Slay the following Lieutenants of Flame in Ragnaros' Reach without getting hit by their special attacks.
Criteria : Ancient Charscale, Ancient Smoldering Behemoth, Ancient Firelord, Cinderweb Queen, Devout Harbinger

Daily quests for theses Achievements don't spawn everyday... unfortnatly it's random, 1 out of 4 chance to spawn.
Achievement objective boss(es) are also totally random spawns, so it can takes ages to get the quest AND the boss you need to hit with the Bomb (Death from Above) or kill with Style (Ready for Raiding II)

So what you have to do, if you don't mind loosing 2 mark/day, but want your achievements faster than anyone else :

- Keep theses two quests in your quest log at all time - so you have it everyday
- Every day, a random "boss" will spawn
- Join a raid group, so you will not get quest objective credits (Important: as you won't be able to Re-take the quest & use hypogryph with all objectives complete)
- Bomb the daily boss for "Death from Above" Achievement
- Kill with Style the daily boss for "Ready for Raiding II" Achievement
- Repeat until you get achievements
- ??
- PROFIT !!

Hunters, getting Kings and LotP in arena without respective partners

As a hunter, in arena before the match begins you can bring out a wolf and/or cat and use their raid buffs then dismiss them and bring out whatever pet you want (prob spider)

while doing 2's as double hunter, I would bring out a wolf and my partner would bring out a cat. Then when there was 10 seconds before it started we would use the Furious Howl and Roar of Courage, then dismiss those pets and bring out our spiders. This would give us about 50 seconds of having 5% crit, 500 agil, and 500 str without having to use a cat and a wolf.

Tested multiple times and confirmed to work.

Get kill credits for Molten Front dailies for doing practically nothing.

I've come across something which Is quite useful.
Just to note: I've only tried and tested, and confirmed this working on a Mage. It may work with Rogues', Druids' and Hunters' etc as well. As long as you can get out of combat and 'reset' the NPC' like you can do with a Mages' invisibility.

While on a kill credit quest such as: [Hostile Elements] If you get eight / (As many NPC's as you would like) into combat, this includes elites.

You can use invisibility and when somebody kills them, or the guards you still get credit for the kill which counts towards the quest/S, and you can still loot them and such.

They're always dead, the NPC's (for me) by the time I've done [Aggressive Growth] and/or [Burn Victims].

Just speeds the task of dailies up I suppose.

Capital Cities Reputation: RAF + Tabards + Diplomacy = much more than supposed to

I've been rebuilding my account ever since I've been banned, and while RAF grinding my way to 80 (using another 85 to grind instances with my four other linked accounts), I've noticed something very interesting.

It appears that when Recruit-a-friend is used along capital cities tabards, and the human racial Diplomacy, the way rep is calculated goes a bit out of hand.

Normally, trash in classic WoW dungeons give 3 rep points, with bosses giving out 60.

Have a look at these:

Now it seems that with all (ie: RaF, human racial, tabard) taken into consideration by the game (probably in a messed up order), I'm gaining 18-19 rep per mob, and 363 per boss.

Please note that I've only had one toon with the tabard. Haven't bothered trying with the others yet as I want to get done with this 1-80 grind ASAP.

As far as I know, I am not aware of any mechanics within the game that would show this much rep gains as being intended. I've gained Exalted with SW in about 4 hours of dungeon grinding.

If any of you feel like looking further into this, feel free to do so. Just wanted to throw that one out there.

What random acts of kindness have you done/seen in WoW?

I've seen many trolls on WoW (i.e. on my server yesterday, which crashed it entirely...) and the like, so I was wondering what sorts of feel-good things have you done or seen while playing?

I'll start: Way back when I was leveling my undead mage, I was running through Arathi Highlands when I spotted a gnome running through it. He was obviously too low level to be there in the first place (he was level ~12), and was aggroing everything in the area.

I felt kind of bad for the guy, so I ran up next to him and killed a vulture that was following him. He stared at me, obviously expecting me to kill him, but once he figured I was going to help him, he continued on his way.

Well, so it didn't turn out that great in the end, since at one point I misclicked and Frost Nova'd, freezing the gnome in place too. I forgot my frost nova does damage, and it ended up killing him. He ressed away from me and ran away.

This is how cross-Battle.net Dungeon invites should work.

A marine would do 6.97 DPS, and a marauder would do 13.33 DPS, or 26.67 DPS on a boss (I'm assuming bosses are armored). With stim, they'd increase to only 10.5 and 20/40 DPS, respectively. In a level 80ish dungeon, that's less DPS than a healer hitting the boss with their melee. I think I'd rather do a dungeon with Ronnee, who apparently has my mother's tattooed eyeball.

Get a boost when in random dungeon as low level

Here is something i found out a while ago

1: Get into a random dungeon group
2: if someone leaves (or you kick him) invite a high level friend or guildie in the group
3: HE WILL BE ABLE TO TELEPORT TO DUNGEON!
4: Let him boost you and receive XP and items

Thats it

How did you even get to level 85?

Most people don't remember being newbies. I'm sure every player was at this stage before (if not in WoW, another game). Remember when there was agility on warlock set pieces? Even blizzard didn't understand itemization, but when I was at this stage, I spent 5 seconds hovering over the stats in my panel to see what they did. The difference being illustrated is not the gap of experience, it's the gap of being able to deduce, investigate, and infer simple information about the game and put that information to use.

5k profit in about 1 hour (Mechano-Hog / Mekgineer's Chopper)

I've made a lot of money during the last 3 days with below method:

What you need

  • Engineer with 450 Skill and the Recipe for Mechano-Hog / Mekgineer's Chopper
if you don't have the Recipe you could farm Reputation for it - one instance run solo heroic was about 3500 Rep. It just took me 2 hours of running those instances to get from friendly to exalted
  • Mining Char with 450 Skill
  • optional - Alchemist (optimal Transmutation specialisation) with Transmute: Titanium
  • optional - Skinner and Leatherworker (you can buy that also for about 100 Gold, what I do)
  • OPTIMAL - being a Goblin

Allright. If you have that, you are ready to go. Of course you can also pay an Engineer to craft you this mount, but I can't really suggest that, as usually they ask you for a big tip. Mining you should do on your own, as it's fast and otherwise you would need to pay a lot for the mats.

MiningMining in Wintergrasp is very efficient since the release of Cataclysm. Nobody is farming there, so all the veins are yours! And they spawn incredibly fast, that you will have a lot of farms within one round.
Here is my route:

I just created that out of my mind with paint, but I think it's pretty close to what I'm usually running through.

On this route you will find a lot Saronite and Titanium. I made in one hour 460 Saronite Ore and 62 Titanium Ore.
You actually don't need so much, but this was my result of farming about 1 hour, so I wanted to share with you how much you can get out there

Materials you will need out of mining
36 Titanium Bar - 1 Titanium Bar = 2 Titanium Ore OR 6 Saronite Bar (1 Saronite Bar = 2 Saronite Ore)
12 Eternal Fire - 1 Eternal Fire = 10 Crystallized Fire
12 Eternal Earth - 1 Eternal Earth = 10 Crystallized Earth
12 Eternal Shadow - 1 Eternal Shadow = 10 Crystallized Shadow

The Eternal Earth and Shadow you should get out of the Veins while mining. Just the Fire are quite rare. What I do is to kill the fire elementals in the sourthern east of wintergrasp. But you can also buy them - on my Realm it's about 44g each, whats to much as per my opinion. If you are running through heroics to push your reputation, keep the Frozen Orbs! You can buy with them all Eternal Materials!

Now you should fly to Dalaran and start smelting first the Titanium Ore into Titanium Bars.
If you don't have enough Titanium Ore for 36 Bars, you can smelt now the Saronite Ore into Saronite Bars and Transmute them with an Alchimist into Titan Bars.6 Saronite Bar = 1 Titan Bar
The good thing is, that this transmute doesn't have any cooldown. So you can do that until you have the 36 Titan Bars.

Now create 12 Titansteel Bars.

Stuff you might need to buyIn addition to all those Bars we need 2 Arctic Furand 40 Handful of Cobalt Bolts.
For the 2 Arctic Fur you should check the Auctionhouse. Remember that you can buy 1 Arctic Fur for 10 Heavy Borean Leather at Braeg Stoutbeard in Dalaran. So maybe it's better to buy 10 Heavy Borean Leather, or 60 Borean Leather (a Leatherworker can make 1 Heavy Leather out of 6 normal Leather) instead of paying 200 Gold for 1 Arctic Fur.

Please do this step after you've found a buyer, as you can do this quite fast and you don't waste money if you can't find someone
The 40 Handful of Cobalt Bolts we create out of Cobalt Bars. I won't suggest you to farm them on your own. Buy the Ore or the Bar in the AH, as I think that farming Cobalt is a pain in the ass... You will need around 50 Bars (1 Ore = 1 Bar) for 40 Handful of Cobalt Bolts.

Searching for a buyer
If you have all materials, except the part you need to buy from the seller in Area 52, you should start to try to find a buyer for the Mechano-Hog / Mekgineer's Chopper on the Tradechannel.
So spam there and ask for bits. I also offer exchanges for Fireland Epics (as they sell very expensive on my server). Thats up to you.
I would suggest you to not sell it for less than 16000 Gold.

If someone starts arguing with you in the tradechan you can ignore him or explain him why it's so expensive (12500g raw materials - as a Goblin we will get it cheaper - I'm coming back to that in a minute), 12x 400g Titansteel Bars (depends on your server of course - I'm sure nobody will sell this Bars, but if they check the AH they gonna see that it's expensive ), 2x 200g Arctic Fur and 50x 2g Cobalt Bar.

I mean it also depends on your sell strategies. I've sold it 3 times now for 18000 gold, 2 times for 17000 gold and just once I sold it for 15000 gold, because the person was very nice and I've got a good heart

You found a buyer
You found a buyer and now you need to get your ass asap to Area 52. If you are still in Dalaran, this won't be a big problem.
Now you need to buy the materials from Roxi Ramrocket:
1x Salvaged Iron Golem Parts (3000g - Goblin 2700g)
1x Elementium-Plated Exhaust Pipe (1500g - Goblin 1350g)
8x Goblin-Machined Piston (1000g - Goblin - 900g)

As a Goblin you spend 11250 Gold, with every other Race you will need to spent 12500 Gold.

Depending on how much you bought the stuff out of the Auctionhouse and you are selling the Bike, you should make Profit of 4000 - 6000 Gold.

Hope this helps some of you

Thats my first Guide in English. So please don't blame me about my bad English skills, as it's not my native language

Additional:
If for whatever Reasons you are not able to find a buyer and don't want to wait longer, you can also throw all those pieces into the Auctionhouse and make good money! Luckily I never ad to do that
But what you should never do:
Never try to sell this mount through the Auctionshouse, as I never saw someone buying it there. And nobody searches for mounts on the Auctionhouse! Therefore don't ever buy materials in Area 52 before you find a buyer, as you might loose a lot of money!

If you get aggro by attacking it = pet
If you get aggro by laughing at it = druid
Unless the hunter is slightly competent and has it on passive.

If you do this, I hate you.

I encountered such a person when levelling my healer. Someone in the group started going off on him about how that's not how lfg works ect.

Eventually the douche begrudging starts tanking (by tanking I mean pulling mobs and standing there while dps do all the work), I heal everyone else exept for him, when he starts going "Omg nub healer, where were the heals?!" I said "I just queued as healer for instant group.". He left after about five minutes.

KIll people at Malfurion's breach.

At Malfurion's breach, there are a lot of people doing dailies obviously. Some of them go AFK now and then though, often guys that've done the dailies already, or people who've just stepped through the portal. For some reason they just sit there.

There are also Emberspit scorpions at Malfurion's breach. These ones: Emberspit Scorpion - NPC - World of Warcraft

These little ****ers cast Ember pool. Ember Pool - Spell - World of Warcraft

So what you do to get people killed is simple. Round up a couple of the scorpions, 2-4 or whatever, and pull them up to where the npc's are. They don't kill them. Then just go stand on top of whoever is AFK, or reading a quest, or whatever. I think they also just cast these pools at people randomly, but not sure about that. You'll likely need to be a healer, or need one with you to do this, because they cast fireballs at ya too. They spawn quite fast if someone gets pissed enough to kill them, and they are easy to find.

Into the Dream : an Emerald Dream exploration

Last month I decided to make a short movie of the Emerald Dream, as Cataclysm didn't make this exploration impossible.

So i went there, on live servers and on the PTR, filmed some places, and here is the result :

(you should watch it in 720p)

So, before someone asks : I do NOT show how to get there, I just show the place. So don't bother asking how to do it.
And I know that this is not new, I did this video to show the place for the ones that have never seen it (and that it is possible to have the real textures in Cataclysm)

This has been filmed on 4.1 live servers and 4.2 PTRs.

Soundtrack is Two Steps From Hell - Lost in Last Vegas (written at the end of the video, but there is always someone to ask it )

Thanks for watching !

What to Invest in for 4.2's Second Gold Rush

Please remember this is just my personal speculation. Some people were disappointed in 4.2 thinking they we're going to ride the widely talked about boom. Some prices rose. Enchants and gems are selling pretty well for raiders. But there wasn't too much for the everyday casual player to do. A week later and the new arena season started. That will be doing well as far as pvp enchants and gems go. But as for the new craftable pvp gear... not so much.

So what's the next big market that's going to skyrocket?

In ~2 weeks for the people who have been diligently doing their dailies some new vendors will get unlocked. They will sell a few bag patterns and some epic ilvl 365 weapons. Here's the vendor with the weapon patterns Damek Bloombeard - NPC - World of Warcraft

Each one will require 8 Truegold and 5 Chaos Orb, then some gems, hardened elementium bars, or volatiles.
So here's my predictions for the market in a couple weeks. Stock up on Volatile Water (they're impossible to farm large amounts) and Truegold (Requires 3 pyrium bars, 10 v water/fire/air and on a 1 day alch CD)

I think those 3 volatiles will skyrocket in price for a week or so atleast. Volatile Fire will be the first to come back down in price because it is easily obtained during the new dailies. Volatile Air will go up and stay at it's new high for a while. The hardened elementium bars and gems will recieve a (very small demand) increase. So if you have some elementium ores or bars in the bank it will be a good time to sell them, I'm pretty sure almost every server has farming bots on it though so I would not rely on elementium prices at all.

If you want to go balls out for max profit try to find a BS with some patterns once they arrive. Tip him generously for all those chaos orbs you are taking and make some epic weapons to put up on the AH. You can atleast double your profit on a few of them the first night. Be smart about which weapons to craft first, Firelands raid drops boe ilvl 378 spell caster weapons, agil bow, 1h str axe, and a 2h agil polearm. I would stay away from crafting the lower ilvl BS versions of these.
This will in-turn bring a demand for top end weapon enchants and keep their demand up for atleast a month, if not longer I would guess.

For those lazy eyes...

Good investment:
Truegold
Volatile Water
Volatile Air
BiS Weapon Enchants

Risky investment:
Volatile Fire
Volatile Earth
Elementium Ore
Hardened Elementium Bars

Thank you for reading, GL if you choose to follow. I would guess if you buy and sell right you could atleast make 150% of your money back.

More on the Vengeance of the Void leak.

After reading through all this, I'm beginning to think this is very possible leak.

NOTE: According to our source, this document (which is supposedly a first draft) is to be passed out as a lore and story update FAQ with Blizzcon swag to avoid common questions at the Lore Q&A, or to inform people about the commonly-asked questions about the new x-pack ahead of time.

Here are the rest of the pages of the Vengeance of the Void "leak". Keep in mind that these documents have not been confirmed or denied by Blizzard. They could be true, they could have an ounce of truth, or they could be completely false. Take them for what they are, and enjoy the read:
