Ladies and Gentleman, Ghoulzadin

This was mailed to me with the following text included:

A little bit of story on this thing. A friend of mine made this, submitted it to the WoW fan art page, and ended up making the homepage before it got buried under all the other amazing fan art. It found its way to my news feed last night, and i figured you guys would enjoy it

Well... I didn't need to sleep tonight anyway

A bunch of World of Warcraft Alpha screenshot

Honestly I really liked the original graphics plan for WoW as it was a bit more realistic, And the old idea to having torches and stuff to be able to see in dark areas such as duskwood, This is why many of those NPCs still have torches these days.

I have played the Alpha of WoW as well and my absolute favorite thing that they removed is the sunken statue of liberty from STV. Planet of the apes reference ftw.

[Vanity Item] Arcane Charge - Huge blue orb

This just a short mini-guide on getting this fun vanity item -- Arcane Charge. This item is a great item that you acquire midway through a quest chain in Azshara -- the quest basically involves you placing these huge glowing "bombs" on the ground, in order to kill a stone golem. We are going to be sneaky though, and keepthe quest item -- instead of completing the quest with it!

The quest item allows us to summon a huge, blue glowing orb, which is visible to all players (not just you!) There is a lot of fun to be had with this item, especially if you are a vanity item collector.

How do I get it?

As I said earlier, the quest item is from a quest, in a chain -- about 15 quests in. It will take around 25 minutes to do as a level 85 with a flying mount. You start the chain at the location shown on the map below. The NPC that gives the quest is "Teemo"; a Golblin up on the top level of the Bildgewater Harbor building on the west side under a Bilgewater banner (Outside) at the top of some stairs. It took me a good 5 minutes to find that sneaky Goblin!

The quests are very simple, and each quest will take you to the following quest in the chain.

Once you get to the quest "Renewable Resource", accept it, and then Arcane Charge is yours! Just remember not to hand in the quest, or delete it from your quest log!

Facts About Arcane Charge:
  • Can be used anywhere -- battlegrounds, dungeons, cities, indoors etc.
  • Has a "pulsing effect", sending out waves of light.
  • Lasts for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Only 1 can be summoned at a time.
  • Has a 15 second Cooldown.
  • Does not have charges (can be used unlimited times)
  • Is not just client-side (can be seen by everyone)
  • Counts as a companion
  • Does not move/ follow you
  • Requires proximity to summoner to stay active (needs confirming)
  • Will get you MANY whispers asking you you made it!
As always, enjoy the item, I hope it brings a little fun to your WoW experience

Lag for MINUTES without disconnect!

Using the auction house, and the addon "Trade Skill Master" I posted just over 1000 auctions, and was able to lag myself out for a good 4 minutes. Could probably go higher. I just post THOUSANDS of small auctions *cough* Mild Spices *cough* and use a macro program (razer naga) to click way faster than it can compute. the addon I'm using is TSM (Trade Skill Master) feel free to ask any more questions

This is also accomplished VERY easily using programs like "Netlimiter", which limit the download/upload speed for selected programs.

You can use this to fly indoors, get to hidden places, get past mobs unharmed, huge advantage in PvP -- invincibility etc.

Just saying that there is a huge potential with this... and errr... easier ways then creating thousands of auctions for "Mild Spices"... haha ^.^

Warlocks...

Old but still true... Keep in mind this picture was made in WOTLK

warlock pvp used to be a faceroll. T akes a bit of skill now, but if you can cast conflagurate without immolate up and have time to cast all that after fear breaks from the first attack you're more magic than skilled.

Old Azshara

The new Goblin terraforming is cool and all, but sometimes I just miss the beauty of old Azshara :).

.... but then I remember how rarely I actually went there and how little I enjoyed questing in it. Seriously. It was pretty, yes, but very empty. I was there often to farm dreamfoil, purple lotus and essence of water from fishing (goldmine at the time). There wasn't much questing to do and the layout was terrible, but I found it to be one of the prettiest zones in the game.

No matter what, this little guy always cheers me up.

My favorite pet by far, the perky pug made Wrath great.

Scoot scoot scoot* 'Cause pugs wipe all the time. *sniff sniff sniff *

My best friend had a pug. He loved it until the day she died. I never met the pug, but I wish I did. :( He has a special macro set just for her.

World Of Warcraft Pandaren Mount Revealed: Dragon Turtles

Pandarens, like other World of Warcraft races, will get their own unique mount. Today Blizzard officially unveiled these mounts. It seems that Pandarens will be able to ride enormous dragon turtle into battle.

The turtle dragons look strong enough to carry even the fattest Pandarens. They're huge creatures with thick armored hides. You can definitely see their dragon lineage when you look at their face.

The art team did a nice job on these turtles. They're a lot more impressive than the plain old horses that worgen players received in the Cataclysm expansion. I like all the the little touches, such as the kneepads and the keg on the back of the saddle. A lot of non-Pandaren players will be grinding rep right after Mists of Pandaria's launch so that they can buy these mounts.

Mists of Pandaria is expected to launch later this year. The expansion, WoW's fourth, is currently in closed beta testing.

How One Dying Man Found Solace In World Of Warcraft

I'm so used to mainstream coverage of video games being this terrible, moral panic inducing mess of hyperbole - so it's really refreshing to see a mainstream story about video games that showcases the massively positive influence games can have on our lives.

MSN tells the story of Patrice Anseline, a 51 year old man diagnosed with inoperable prostate cancer, and the solace he has taken from World of Warcraft and the sense of community and solidarity he has found there in the wake of his diagnosis.

He recently revealed to his friends in the World of Warcraft community that doctors have told him he does not have much longer to live.
"I told them … I've got some bad news," he said. "A few people stopped playing and they just said to me, ‘What, are you serious'.
"They used the word Eminance, that's my other nickname on World of Warcraft, and they said, ‘Eminance, we are going to pray for you at church'."
Mr Anseline, who lives with his family in Moe, said he and other players with cancer were using the game as a support group.
"At the end of the day World of Warcraft is a game. But the difference between it and other games is it is a game that includes social interaction," he said.
It's an interesting piece. Most mainstream coverage of games tends to be negative, but this story reminds us that games can be at the centre of some really incredible communities - like ours.

Good luck to Patrice, and thanks for sharing your story.
