Using the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth you can resist the dismount since the daze incorrectly dismounts your passengers (Gnimo and Hakmud) rather than dismounting you giving you 2 charges before you are dismounted. Cant confirm if this works on the Grand Expedition Yak.
You can also strife so you face the mobs, they wont daze you aslong as you face them
