Blizzard has made one of the more player-friendly quality-of-life changes of the early World of Warcraft: Midnight era by removing the old Pathfinder-style requirement for Steady Flight in current content. In a recent official community update, Blizzard explained that players no longer need to unlock Steady Flight through the usual progression gate, marking a clear shift in how flying access works in modern WoW.
For a lot of players, that is a bigger deal than it might sound at first. Flying has always been one of those topics that can start a small civil war in the WoW community within about five minutes.
