Mists of Pandaria Classic is officially marching toward its most dramatic phase, which means one thing: Garrosh Hellscream is about to become everyone’s problem again.

Blizzard has confirmed that the Siege of Orgrimmar update arrives on June 2 with regional maintenance, bringing the Timeless Isle, the final push for the Legendary Cloak, five world bosses, PvP Season 14, Proving Grounds, Celestial Dungeon Season 3, and the big one: Siege of Orgrimmar itself.

The raid opens globally on June 4 at 3:00 PM PDT / 23:00 BST, giving players just enough time to pretend they are emotionally ready for another round of Garrosh discourse.

The Timeless Isle Is Back, Which Means Chaos Has a Beach Now

Before players storm Orgrimmar, they will be heading to the Timeless Isle — one of Mists of Pandaria’s most memorable late-expansion zones. It is part treasure hunt, part rare-mob safari, part “why is everyone suddenly here and why am I dead?” simulator.

The update introduces the Emperor Shaohao reputation, Timeless Coins, new rewards, and a pile of outdoor activities designed to keep players circling the island like loot-addicted seagulls.

It is also the kind of zone that tends to create stories. Some players will farm efficiently. Some will hunt rares. Some will discover world PvP by becoming the content. Classic is a beautiful educational tool like that.

Siege of Orgrimmar Still Has Main Event Energy

Siege of Orgrimmar remains one of the most important raids in Warcraft history. It is not just another villain lair. It is a full political breakdown with boss mechanics.

The raid begins in the ruined Vale of Eternal Blossoms and eventually drives straight into Orgrimmar itself, turning the Horde capital into a raid zone and making Garrosh’s downfall feel less like a normal raid finale and more like a faction intervention with weapons.

Wowhead notes that this is the final phase of Mists of Pandaria Classic, which gives the update extra weight. This is not just another patch on the calendar. This is MoP Classic entering its endgame chapter.

The Legendary Cloak Finish Line Is Finally Here

Wrathion’s long-running Legendary Cloak questline also reaches its conclusion in this update. Players who have kept up with the Black Prince’s campaign will be able to push into the final steps and unlock one of the expansion’s defining rewards.

That matters because the Legendary Cloak is not just a stat stick with a fancy glow. It was one of MoP’s big long-term progression threads, tying together raids, reputation, world content, and the expansion’s broader story.

In Classic terms, it is the kind of reward that makes people either feel proud… or quietly regret every week they skipped because “I’ll catch up later.”

Proving Grounds Might Be the Sleeper Feature

Proving Grounds also arrive with the update, giving players solo role-based challenges for tanking, healing, and damage. It is not as loud as Siege of Orgrimmar, and it will not produce the same raid-night yelling, but it is one of those features that quietly matters.

At its best, Proving Grounds gives players a controlled space to test their class, sharpen role basics, and find out whether their keybinds are a crime scene before other people are forced to witness them.

Garrosh Season Comes With a Question

The big debate now is whether Siege of Orgrimmar will still feel like a grand finale in 2026.

Classic players are better prepared, better informed, and significantly more likely to arrive with guides, addons, logs, optimized comps, and a terrifying relationship with spreadsheets. The mystery is gone. The efficiency is very much not.

But Siege of Orgrimmar has something many raids do not: weight. It is a raid with narrative momentum, faction drama, iconic bosses, and a final confrontation that still feels like Warcraft turning the volume all the way up.

So yes, Garrosh season is back.

The only question is whether players are here for the nostalgia, the progression, the loot — or just one more chance to punch the Warchief in a historically significant room.
