Now Blizzard has cleaned up another one: missing daily quest NPCs.
In the latest World of Warcraft hotfixes, Blizzard says Hilda Hornswaggle and other relevant NPCs should now be present for their daily quests in the Ruins of Ogudei.
It is not the kind of hotfix that gets a dramatic trailer. But if you were standing around wondering where your daily quest NPC had wandered off to, this is the sort of note that saves the evening.
Daily Quests Need Their NPCs, Somehow
This sounds obvious, but daily quest content works best when the characters involved actually show up.
Players can deal with hard mobs. They can deal with travel time. They can deal with mildly cursed drop rates. But when the quest giver or required NPC is missing, the whole loop breaks in the least satisfying way possible.
There is no skill issue there. No clever workaround. No “just play better.” Just a player staring at empty space, slowly developing forum-post energy.
Ruins of Ogudei Gets Its People Back
The Ruins of Ogudei daily quests are part of that wider MoP Classic daily rhythm where players chip away at objectives, reputation, rewards, and whatever else the expansion throws into their schedule.
Having Hilda Hornswaggle and other relevant NPCs properly present again means players should be able to continue that content without playing hide-and-seek with quest infrastructure.
That may sound small, but MoP Classic is currently packed with things competing for attention. Siege of Orgrimmar, Timeless Isle, Proving Grounds, PvP Season 14, Legendary cloak progress, and daily content are all pulling players in different directions.
When one of those pieces breaks, even slightly, it adds friction players absolutely do not need.
The Same Hotfix Batch Cleaned Up More Classic Weirdness
The NPC fix was not alone.
Blizzard also noted that cooldown-reduction trinkets will continue to work while loading screens are active. That is the kind of technical note that sounds boring until you realize players absolutely notice when trinkets behave strangely around transitions.
Sylstrasza and Kyanite Stonetender should also once again be present atop Grommash Hold, which is another reminder that sometimes the most important thing an NPC can do is simply be where the game says they are supposed to be.
Siege Week Cleanup Is Still Happening
None of this changes the whole phase. It does not rewrite Siege of Orgrimmar. It does not make Garrosh easier. It does not stop your raid from arguing about logs.
But these little fixes matter because they smooth out the daily experience around the big content.
MoP Classic is at the point where players are juggling raids, weeklies, dailies, achievements, and long-term progression. When NPCs vanish or mechanics behave oddly, the whole thing feels messier than it needs to.
So yes, Hilda Hornswaggle being back is not exactly headline-shaking MMO drama.
But for players trying to do their Ruins of Ogudei dailies, it is one less stupid obstacle standing between them and the grind.
In Classic, sometimes progress is not about killing the boss. Sometimes it is about the quest giver remembering to come to work.
