Blizzard is kicking off the World of Warcraft: Midnight launch window with a fresh batch of Twitch Drops and Support a Streamer rewards — and this time there are some surprisingly fun cosmetics up for grabs.

With early access just around the corner, players will be able to unlock free housing items, a new pet, and themed collectibles simply by watching streams or supporting WoW creators on Twitch.

Here’s exactly what you can get and how to claim it.

Twitch Drops Start February 26

Beginning February 26, players can earn new in-game rewards by watching eligible World of Warcraft streams on Twitch.

To qualify, simply watch participating WoW streamers for a total of four hours during the campaign period. Once completed, you’ll unlock a themed housing cosmetic reward based on your faction:

  • Alliance players: Cuddly Blue Grrgle plush

  • Horde players: Cuddly Red Grrgle plush

These items are designed specifically for the new housing system arriving with Midnight, making them some of the first cosmetic decorations tied directly to player homes.

The Twitch Drops campaign runs until March 24, giving players plenty of time to claim their rewards.

Support a Streamer Campaign Returns

Alongside Twitch Drops, Blizzard is also bringing back its Support a Streamer promotion.

From February 26 through March 26, players who gift two Twitch subscriptions (any tier, excluding Prime subs) to eligible World of Warcraft streamers will receive an exclusive in-game pet:

Fishmonger May

This cosmetic companion joins your collection permanently once the reward is claimed through Battle.net. As with previous Support a Streamer events, the goal is to encourage players to support content creators during the expansion launch window.

How to Claim Your Rewards

To ensure you receive Twitch Drop rewards:

  1. Link your Battle.net account to Twitch

  2. Watch eligible WoW streams for the required time

  3. Claim rewards through the Twitch Drops inventory

  4. Log into WoW to receive items

For Support a Streamer rewards:

  1. Gift two qualifying subs to a participating WoW streamer

  2. Ensure your Battle.net and Twitch accounts are linked

  3. Claim the pet once the promotion registers

Rewards usually appear in-game shortly after being claimed.

Why Blizzard Uses Twitch Drops During Expansions

Blizzard has leaned heavily into Twitch campaigns during major launches, and for good reason. These promotions boost visibility, reward community engagement, and help drive hype during key release windows.

For players, it’s also one of the easiest ways to grab exclusive cosmetics without grinding in-game content.

With Midnight launching soon, expect Twitch to be packed with players exploring new zones, testing builds, and pushing early progression — making it the perfect time to pick up a few free rewards along the way.

More Launch Events Likely Coming

Twitch Drops and streamer promotions are usually just the start of Blizzard’s expansion rollout strategy. As Midnight moves from early access into full launch, additional community events and limited-time rewards could follow.

For now, though, these Twitch campaigns offer an easy way to grab some exclusive items before the expansion fully kicks off.

And if you were planning to watch WoW streams anyway, you might as well get rewarded for it.
