World of Warcraft: Midnight has officially launched worldwide, with full global access going live on March 2. After several days of Early Access, players across all regions can now enter the expansion as Blizzard deploys a fresh wave of hotfixes addressing launch-week issues across multiple versions of the game.

As expected for a major expansion release, the first days of Midnight have already seen significant tuning and bug fixes aimed at stabilizing gameplay and improving the overall launch experience.

Full Launch Now Live Worldwide

Following its Early Access period, Midnight is now fully available globally. Servers have been busy as players jump into new zones, progression systems, and endgame activities, with many realms experiencing heavy population spikes.

Launch day typically marks the point where the broader player base joins the expansion, often bringing additional balance adjustments and system tweaks as real-time feedback increases.

Major Class Fixes

Blizzard’s latest hotfix wave includes several important class-related fixes designed to prevent unintended behavior during combat.

Notable adjustments include:

  • Hunter abilities like Stomp and Wild Thrash no longer damaging targets through walls

  • Mage spells such as Comet Storm and Shatter corrected to prevent unintended pulls or damage through terrain

  • Additional fixes to ability interactions affecting positioning and line-of-sight

These updates aim to ensure more consistent combat behavior across both PvE and PvP content.

Dungeon and Delve Updates

Several fixes also target dungeon and delve content introduced with Midnight.

Changes include:

  • Voidscar Arena progression issues resolved

  • Delve companion Valeera’s maximum level temporarily capped at 45 until Season 1

  • Adjustments to encounter flow and progression triggers

These updates are intended to stabilize group content and prevent progression blockers early in the expansion cycle.

Quest and Zone Adjustments

Blizzard has also made tuning adjustments to certain early expansion quests and encounters.

Key changes:

  • Reduced enemy health and damage during Midnight intro sequences

  • Faster respawn timers for certain quest enemies

  • Fixes to quest items and event triggers persisting incorrectly

These tweaks are designed to smooth early leveling and reduce bottlenecks as player populations surge.

UI and Macro Restrictions

Temporary restrictions have also been introduced to address potential addon or automation issues:

  • Target markers limited to three units in some situations

  • Restrictions on non-group chat channels during encounters

  • Adjusted macro and communication behavior within certain instances

Blizzard has indicated some of these measures may be temporary while further fixes are implemented.

Launch Week Continues to Evolve

Expansion launches always bring rapid changes, and Midnight is no exception. As more players reach endgame and test systems at scale, additional hotfixes and tuning passes are expected throughout the first weeks.

For now, Midnight’s full launch marks the beginning of the expansion’s global rollout — and the start of what will likely be an active period of balance updates, discoveries, and community-driven strategies.

With Season 1 still ahead and players exploring the new content at full scale, the Midnight era of World of Warcraft is officially underway.
