With the full launch of World of Warcraft: Midnight arriving March 2, Blizzard has deployed a fresh wave of hotfixes targeting bugs, item issues, and balance problems discovered during early access.

The updates cover everything from dungeon encounters and quest blockers to item tuning and profession catch-up systems. While none of the fixes are massive on their own, together they paint a clear picture: Blizzard is tightening up the expansion just in time for launch day.

Here is everything that changed in the latest Midnight hotfix batch.

Major Midnight Dungeon and Quest Fixes

Several gameplay-breaking bugs were addressed across Midnight’s early access content, particularly in dungeons and quests.

Key fixes include:

  • Resolved an issue causing Nalorakk to occasionally become unattackable in dungeon encounters

  • Fixed an unkillable Void Beast during “The Line Must Be Drawn Here” quest

  • Additional stability tweaks to prevent encounter progression issues

These fixes should smooth out some of the more frustrating roadblocks players encountered during the first days of early access.

Item and Economy Adjustments

Blizzard also pushed important fixes and balance changes to items and currencies tied to Midnight progression.

Notable changes:

  • Bind-on-Equip items now equip at the correct level

  • Fixed cases where equipped Midnight gear became temporarily unusable

  • Reduced the cost of certain items from 750 to 25 Voidlight Marl

  • Popular trinket Gaze of the Alnseer received another nerf

The item cost reduction is especially significant, making early gearing less punishing and helping players transition into endgame more smoothly at launch.

Profession Catch-Up System Announced

One of the most impactful updates targets players who did not participate in early access.

From March 3 to March 10, non–early access players will receive:

  • Two weeks’ worth of Knowledge Points

  • Catch-up progression from crafting orders

  • Bonus profession knowledge from activities and treasures

This ensures players starting at full launch will not fall behind those who began during early access, helping keep the profession economy balanced across the player base.

UI and Quality-of-Life Tweaks

Several smaller adjustments were also included in the update:

  • Transmog collection ordering improved for easier navigation

  • Various backend fixes for item usability and display

  • General stability improvements across Midnight content

These changes may seem minor, but they contribute to a smoother overall launch experience.

Updates for Mists of Pandaria Classic

Outside of Midnight, Blizzard also pushed a fix for Mists of Pandaria Classic.

Completing Magisters’ Terrace now properly advances the “Magisters’ Terrace: Homecoming” quest, resolving a progression issue that had been frustrating players revisiting Classic content.

Full Launch Set for March 2

With hotfixes rolling out and last-minute adjustments underway, Blizzard appears to be preparing for a relatively smooth full launch of Midnight.

Early access has largely served as a testing ground, and these final tweaks should ensure that both new and returning players can jump into the expansion without encountering the most disruptive bugs.

As always with expansion launches, more hotfixes are likely in the coming days — but for now, Midnight looks ready for its official debut.
