Blizzard has rolled out another round of World of Warcraft: Midnight hotfixes, continuing the post-launch stabilization phase for the expansion.
The March 9, 2026 hotfix list includes class bug fixes, PvP adjustments, and a notable change to the Personal Key to the Arcantina, along with several smaller quality-of-life tweaks.
While none of these changes fundamentally alter Midnight gameplay, they address several issues players have been reporting since launch.
PvP change: Training Grounds Honor reduced
One of the most noticeable changes affects PvP progression.
Blizzard has reduced Honor gains from Training Grounds matches by 50%.
Training Grounds were originally designed as a way for players to learn PvP battleground mechanics against AI opponents, but the system had become a surprisingly efficient way to farm Honor.
The adjustment brings rewards more in line with Blizzard’s intended pacing.
Class fixes: Evoker, Priest, and Shaman
Several classes received bug fixes related to talents and ability interactions.
Evoker (Preservation)
-
Fixed an issue where Merithra’s Blessing was not consistently stored in Stasis.
-
Releasing the spell from Stasis no longer consumes the Merithra’s Blessing proc incorrectly.
Priest (Discipline)
-
Corrected an issue where Mastery: Grace and several talents did not properly affect Plea healing.
Shaman (Restoration)
-
Fixed a bug where Ascendance’s Healing Wave bonus did not correctly retain modifiers from Unleash Life.
These changes are mostly targeted bug fixes rather than balance adjustments.
Arcantina Key update
The Personal Key to the Arcantina received another tweak.
The item now:
-
has a 15-minute cooldown
-
only teleports players to Arcantina
-
and Blizzard added a two-way portal in Wayfarer’s Rest for players who own the key.
The portal addition ensures players can still travel back easily even when the key is on cooldown.
PvP mechanics fixes
Blizzard also addressed several technical PvP issues:
-
Silences and Disarms will no longer incorrectly trigger diminishing returns for Root effects.
-
The epic battleground Slayer’s Rise now has a higher chance to appear when queueing for random Epic Battlegrounds.
Post-launch stabilization continues
With World of Warcraft: Midnight having launched only recently, Blizzard is still working through the typical launch-window bug fixes and tuning.
Most of these updates are aimed at polishing systems rather than making major gameplay changes.
Expect additional hotfix waves over the coming days as players continue exploring the expansion and Season 1 approaches.
