World of Warcraft has a fresh little support headache brewing, and this one lands in the exact place Blizzard never wants friction: promotional rewards people were told they had already earned.
On Blizzard’s World of Warcraft forums, a “Missing twitch rewards” support thread posted on March 29 says claimed rewards are not consistently appearing in-game, with the poster saying Twitch showed the items as claimed while Blizzard did not. A follow-up on March 30 said one reward eventually appeared, but others were still missing.
That would already be enough for a service-style article on its own. But the more clickable angle is that the issue now appears to be overlapping with one of Blizzard’s current promotional drops.
The Grrgle reports are making the problem look more current
A separate Bug Report thread titled “Cuddly Void Grrgle Missing” was posted on March 30, with one player saying it had been more than 24 hours since completing the Twitch Drop requirements without receiving the item. Another reply said Twitch showed the reward as claimed, but it still had not appeared in inventory after several days.
That matters because Blizzard is actively pushing Twitch-linked rewards right now. The official WoW content notes currently highlight “Support a Streamer and Twitch Drops Now Live!”, saying players can earn the Fishmonger May pet by gifting two subscriptions on Twitch and collect Grrgle-themed housing decor items by watching eligible World of Warcraft Twitch channels.
So this is not a random old account-linking complaint bubbling up from nowhere. It is surfacing right as Blizzard is asking players to engage with Twitch promos again.
Enough reports to be worth watching, but not enough to overstate
This is where the article needs to stay honest.
There is not, at least from what I could verify, a Blizzard post yet saying there is a confirmed broad Twitch-reward outage in WoW. What is visible is an active support thread for missing Twitch rewards, a same-day bug report specifically about a missing Grrgle drop, and Blizzard simultaneously promoting new Twitch-linked WoW rewards.
That is enough to call it a player-reported issue worth watching. It is not enough to say Blizzard’s entire Twitch reward system is broken.
What players are trying so far
In the support thread, one reply suggested detaching and reattaching the linked accounts. The original poster later said they had already tried that multiple times, with only partial success.
So if you have claimed a WoW Twitch reward and it is still missing, the safest framing right now is simple: check your linked accounts, monitor your inventory and collection tabs, and keep an eye on the support forum in case Blizzard acknowledges a wider issue.
Promotional rewards are supposed to be the easy win. When players do the watching, do the claiming, and then get nothing, that “easy win” becomes support queue content surprisingly fast.
