Blizzard’s next World of Warcraft charity pet is almost here, and this year’s good boy is Roofus.
The Roofus Charity Pet Pack will launch on March 17, 2026 and support Habitat for Humanity. Blizzard has confirmed Roofus will be available in both modern WoW and Classic, and players in modern WoW will also get housing decor items tied to the pack.
That makes this more than just another pet-shop drop. It is also one of Midnight’s first charity items built directly around the new housing system.
What comes with the Roofus pack
Blizzard previously confirmed that Roofus is the featured pet for this year’s charity pack, and that the pack includes extra housing-themed items for modern WoW players. Those extras are a:

Roofus himself will be usable in both modern WoW and Classic WoW, which makes the pack broader than a lot of Midnight-only cosmetics.
When it goes on sale
Blizzard Watch reports the pack will be available from March 17 through May 12, 2026. Their coverage also notes that Blizzard had not announced a price at the time of publication.
So the key date to remember is simple:
Roofus arrives on March 17, the same day Midnight Season 1 begins.
Why this is a good WoW story right now
There are really three reasons this one works:
1) It ties into Midnight housing
Roofus is not just a pet. The modern WoW version of the pack also gives players a few housing decor pieces, which makes it feel much more connected to Midnight than a standard charity pet release.
2) It supports Habitat for Humanity
Blizzard has explicitly said this year’s charity partner is Habitat for Humanity, which gives the pack a stronger community angle than a normal store post.
3) March 17 is already a huge WoW date
