Good news for mount collectors who missed Turbulent Timeways IV: Blizzard is opening the vault.
Bad news for your Timewarped Badge stash: Blizzard is opening the vault.
Starting June 30, all four Shadowlands-themed bronze mounts from Turbulent Timeways IV are expected to appear on Timewalking vendors for everyone. That means players who skipped the earlier event, missed the achievement, or only grabbed one mount through the voucher system will get another shot.
According to Icy Veins’ Turbulent Timeways mount report, the four returning mounts are the Bronze Aquilon Harness, Bronze Corpsefly Harness, Bronze Wilderling Harness, and Bronze Gravewing Harness.
So yes, if you missed them, the door is opening again.
It just has a 20,000-badge toll booth in front of it.
Four Mounts, One Very Hungry Badge Sink
The original Turbulent Timeways IV reward system worked differently from earlier versions of the event.
Instead of directly awarding one mount, the Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV achievement rewarded Ta’readon’s Mount Voucher. That voucher let players pick one of four bronze-tinted Shadowlands covenant-style mounts.
Nice idea. Mildly cruel execution.
Because if you earned the voucher, you still had to choose only one. The other three stayed behind, quietly judging your lack of infinite mount access.
Now, with the next Turbulent Timeways event beginning on June 30, those four mounts are being pushed to Timewalking vendors. Icy Veins notes that they are expected to follow the usual 5,000 Timewarped Badge mount cost.
That means players who already used a voucher may need around 15,000 Timewarped Badges to finish the set. Players who missed the event entirely could need up to 20,000 Timewarped Badges.
Mount collecting remains a beautiful hobby for people who hate having savings.
June 30 Is the Badge Deadline Wake-Up Call
The timing matters because Turbulent Timeways returns on June 30 and runs through August 11.
Blizzard’s official Turbulent Timeways announcement confirms the six-week Timewalking run, beginning and ending with Dragonflight Timewalking. That event also brings the new Spawn of Vyranoth mount through Master of the Turbulent Timeways V.
MasterOfWarcraft already covered how Spawn of Vyranoth got one week less annoying to earn, which is good news for players chasing the new mount.
But the returning Turbulent Timeways IV mounts are a different kind of pressure.
Spawn of Vyranoth asks for weekly participation. These bronze mounts ask whether your badge wallet has been eating properly.
Timewarped Badges Just Became More Dangerous
Timewarped Badges have always lived in that strange space between “I have plenty” and “where did they all go?”
One minute you are casually running Timewalking dungeons. The next minute you are staring at vendors full of mounts, pets, toys, transmog, reputation tokens, and old expansion cosmetics like a goblin accountant with commitment issues.
Adding all four Turbulent Timeways IV mounts to vendors makes that problem much worse.
These are not tiny filler rewards. They are bronze versions of recognizable Shadowlands mount styles: Aquilon, Corpsefly, Wilderling, and Gravewing. That gives them a strong collector hook even for players who have complicated feelings about Shadowlands itself.
You may not want to revisit every memory from that expansion.
But a bronze covenant mount? That is different. That is a trophy with plausible deniability.
Blizzard Is Doing the Right Thing Here
The good news is that making these mounts available again is the right move.
Limited-time rewards can be fun when they create excitement, but they can also become annoying when players miss one event and lose access to an entire set of cosmetics. Bringing the mounts back through Timewalking vendors keeps the original achievement meaningful while still giving latecomers and completionists a path forward.
That is a healthy compromise.
Players who showed up earlier got a free pick through the voucher. Players who missed it can now grind badges. Players who want all four can still suffer in a very traditional MMO way.
Everyone wins, except possibly your evening schedule.
Start Farming Now, Regret Later
If you want all four mounts, now is the time to start thinking about badges.
Legion Timewalking is active before Turbulent Timeways begins, and Icy Veins points out that it is a good opportunity to start building a badge stash before June 30. That is the sensible option.
The less sensible option is waiting until the vendors arrive, realizing you are thousands of badges short, and then entering the dungeon finder with the desperate energy of someone trying to finance four bronze animals through panic.
Either way, the mounts are coming back.
The vendor vault opens June 30.
And once again, Timewalking is about to prove that nostalgia is cheaper than therapy, but somehow still costs 20,000 badges.
