Garrosh Hellscream has never exactly been known for generosity.

He screams, corrupts Orgrimmar, waves around the heart of an Old God, and then somehow still acts like giving players loot is a personal insult. Classic end boss behavior, really.

But in Mists of Pandaria Classic, Blizzard has finally made Garrosh a little less stingy. As part of the latest World of Warcraft hotfixes, defeating Garrosh Hellscream in Siege of Orgrimmar now gives players a chance to bonus roll for an extra piece of loot.

Yes, after all that yelling, we now get one more dice throw at disappointment. Progress.

Garrosh Now Has A Bonus Roll Chance

The change is simple: beginning with realm maintenance this week, defeating Garrosh will now give players a chance to bonus roll for extra loot.

Wowhead’s MoP Classic hotfix coverage also highlights the same update, noting that the bonus roll chance applies after killing Garrosh in Siege of Orgrimmar.

For players still chasing heirlooms, tier pieces, weapon upgrades, or simply trying to get something useful out of the final boss, this is a welcome little loot bump.

It does not turn Garrosh into a loot piñata. But it does make the end of the raid feel a bit less like walking out of a long argument empty-handed.

This Is A Small Change, But A Good One

MoP Classic is at the point where loot friction really matters.

Siege of Orgrimmar is a long raid. Garrosh is the big finish. Players are not just killing him for vibes and historical accuracy. They want actual rewards for dragging themselves through the Warchief’s extremely dramatic basement tantrum.

Adding a bonus roll chance helps with that. It gives players another shot at meaningful drops without changing the raid, nerfing the boss, or turning progression into a vending machine.

That is usually the best kind of Classic adjustment: useful, targeted, and not so heavy-handed that everyone starts arguing about authenticity in the comments again.

Siege Of Orgrimmar Loot Still Matters

Garrosh remains one of the most important bosses in MoP Classic loot progression.

As Wowhead’s Siege of Orgrimmar rewards guide notes, Garrosh can drop heirloom weapons that are stronger than standard items for each difficulty, along with important end-tier rewards.

That makes an extra bonus roll chance feel more meaningful than it would on a random mid-raid boss nobody remembers outside of loot tables and trauma.

When the final boss has the good stuff, giving players one more chance at it is not charity. It is common sense wearing shoulderpads.

Celestial Dungeons Also Got Some Pain Removed

The same hotfix batch also includes several Celestial Dungeon changes, including Kor’kron Arcweavers no longer ignoring line of sight, reduced Magistrike damage, lower Kor’kron Banner health, and a much longer respawn rate for Kor’kron forces.

The Coffer of Celestial Chance now awards 50-60 Lesser Charms of Good Fortune, up from 20-30, while August Stone Clusters now cap at 200 instead of 70.

That is a pretty clear theme: fewer rough edges, better rewards, less Classic suffering cosplay.

Garrosh Still Hates You, But At Least He Pays Slightly Better

This is not a massive change. It will not rewrite MoP Classic overnight, and it will not stop bad rolls from feeling like a personal attack.

But it does make killing Garrosh feel slightly more rewarding, especially for players who are deep into Siege of Orgrimmar farming.

Garrosh may still be arrogant, corrupted, loud, and allergic to basic diplomacy.

At least now, he is marginally better at loot.
