World of Warcraft players already enrolled in a qualifying long-term subscription should receive Blizzard’s newest mount and pet no later than today, July 31, 2026.
The rewards are the Sunflare Driftmoth Skyriding mount for modern WoW and the Sunflutter Driftmoth pet for WoW Classic progression realms.
This does not mean the subscription offer disappears today.
It means Blizzard has reached the promised delivery deadline for players who were already subscribed when the new rewards were announced.
In other words, this is less “last chance to buy” and more “time to check whether Battle.net remembered you exist.”
Existing Subscribers Should Receive the Rewards Today
Blizzard introduced the Driftmoth rewards on July 14 as the latest bonuses attached to its six-month and twelve-month subscription offers.
Players purchasing a qualifying subscription receive both items as part of the package.
However, players already using an eligible recurring six-month or twelve-month subscription plan did not necessarily receive the rewards immediately.
Blizzard said those players would automatically receive the mount and pet at no additional cost no later than July 31, 2026.
To qualify, the subscription must have a future renewal date.
A cancelled plan with remaining game time may therefore not be treated the same way as an active recurring subscription.
The Sunflare Driftmoth Is for Modern WoW
The main reward is the Sunflare Driftmoth, a crimson-speckled Skyriding mount with enormous fuzzy wings.
It is available in modern World of Warcraft and scales to the fastest riding ability available to each character.
Characters unable to fly can also use it as a ground mount.
The design continues Blizzard’s recent campaign to prove that virtually any animal becomes suitable transportation once it has been enlarged and given enough glowing particles.
The Pet Is for WoW Classic Progression
The second reward is the Sunflutter Driftmoth pet.
Unlike the mount, the pet is intended for WoW Classic progression realms, currently represented by Mists of Pandaria Classic.
This split has become standard for Blizzard’s subscription promotions.
Retail players receive a mount, while Classic players receive a companion pet that follows them through content created before the mount shop developed its own seasonal calendar.
The two items are also available individually through the Battle.net Shop.
Check the Battle.net Gift Icon
Eligible players who have not seen the rewards in-game should first check the Battle.net desktop application.
Subscription rewards are commonly delivered as gifts that must be claimed through the gift icon near the top of the launcher.
Blizzard says the Driftmoth items must be redeemed by July 31, 2027.
That gives players a full year to claim them after delivery, but there is little reason to leave a large magical moth sitting unopened inside the launcher.
Players should also confirm that their subscription is genuinely recurring and has a future renewal date.
Ordinary prepaid game time does not necessarily qualify for the automatic grant.
Today Is Not the Purchase Deadline
The July 31 date can easily be misunderstood.
Blizzard is not saying the Driftmoth subscription offer ends today.
The official WoW site continues to advertise the six-month and twelve-month subscription packages with the Driftmoth rewards included.
July 31 is specifically the deadline by which qualifying existing subscribers should have received their free grant.
Someone purchasing the current subscription offer can still receive the rewards through the normal purchase process while the offer remains available.
Blizzard has not announced a final sales date for the bundle.
What to Do if the Rewards Are Still Missing
Players who believe they qualify should verify three things:
The account has an active recurring six-month or twelve-month subscription.
The plan has a future renewal date.
The Battle.net launcher does not already contain an unclaimed gift.
If all three conditions are met and the reward has still not appeared after today’s deadline, the next step is to contact Blizzard Support through the relevant Battle.net account.
It is also worth checking that the player is viewing the correct Battle.net region and WoW account before assuming the moth has escaped.
The Moths Should Have Landed by Now
Subscription promotions are designed to reward players already committed to several months of World of Warcraft.
That makes delayed delivery slightly awkward, especially when the same items are immediately visible in the shop.
Blizzard’s stated deadline is now here.
Eligible existing subscribers should receive the Sunflare Driftmoth and Sunflutter Driftmoth by July 31, with both rewards available for redemption until July 31, 2027.
Check the Battle.net launcher.
