World of Warcraft collectors may want to start protecting their Trader's Tender now.
September is about to become dangerous.
Blizzard is celebrating BlizzCon 2026 with a special Trading Post Outlet that brings back a huge collection of older mounts, pets, toys, armor and weapon appearances.
But the genuinely important part is something players have been asking for since the Trading Post launched:
Previous Monthly Bonus Rewards are coming back and can be purchased directly with Trader's Tender.
So if you missed one of those rewards because you were not playing that month, did not finish the Traveler's Log or simply forgot that the month had only 30 days, September finally gives you another chance.
FOMO has received a temporary refund desk.
The Trading Post Outlet Is the Big September Addition
The normal September Trading Post is still happening.
There are new mounts, transmogs, weapons and a fresh monthly bonus reward.
But Blizzard is also opening special Outlet vendors in Dornogal and Silvermoon City as part of the BlizzCon 2026 celebration.
These vendors carry a much larger collection of returning Trading Post items than the ordinary monthly rotation.
That includes previous mounts, battle pets, toys, armor sets and weapon appearances.
It continues a direction Blizzard has been moving toward throughout 2026. Earlier this year, we looked at how old promotional rewards were beginning to move into the Trading Post, giving players another route to cosmetics that had originally been locked behind limited promotions.
September takes that anti-FOMO idea much further.
Old Monthly Bonus Rewards Can Finally Be Bought
This is the really unusual part.
Monthly Bonus Rewards traditionally work differently from ordinary Trading Post stock.
You fill the Traveler's Log during that month.
You reach the end.
You receive the bonus reward.
Miss the month?
Too bad.
Until now.
September's Trading Post Outlet includes previous Monthly Bonus Rewards available for Trader's Tender.
Some of the returning highlights include:
- Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn – 900 Trader's Tender
- Depthstalker – 600 Trader's Tender
- Crusty Crawler – 700 Trader's Tender
- Quawks – 750 Trader's Tender
- Plunderlord's Golden Crocolisk – 600 Trader's Tender
- Ensemble: Darkmoon Harlequin's Bells – 750 Trader's Tender
- Ensemble: Bones of the Bloodhunter – 800 Trader's Tender
- Ensemble: Purple Snugglefin Murloc Romper – 850 Trader's Tender
These are not cheap.
But that is considerably better than "no longer obtainable."
Ash'adar Returning Is a Pretty Big Deal
Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn is probably the most recognizable example.
The sabercat mount was the Trading Post's very first monthly completion reward back in February 2023.
If you were playing then and completed the Traveler's Log, you got it.
If you arrived later, you did not.
September changes that.
Ash'adar will cost 900 Trader's Tender, which is almost an entire ordinary month's Tender income by itself.
That price may hurt.
But collectors who have spent more than three years wondering when those early bonus rewards would return finally have an answer.
The Outlet Is Absolutely Massive
The bonus rewards are only one section of the Outlet.
Blizzard is bringing back a frankly ridiculous number of previous Trading Post and promotional items.
The returning mount pool includes things like:
- Tyrael's Charger
- Celestial Steed
- Blazing Hippogryph
- Riding Turtle
- Spectral Gryphon
- Spectral Wind Rider
- The Dreadwake
- Hand of Reshkigaal
- Magenta Cloud Serpent
- Felcrystal Scorpion
There are also dozens of pets, toys, cloaks, armor pieces, ensembles and weapon appearances.
We have joked several times this year that the Trading Post has become increasingly dangerous to your Tender budget.
September appears to be Blizzard testing whether that budget has structural integrity.
Old Promotional Rewards Are Becoming Less Exclusive
The Outlet also fits Blizzard's broader shift around limited promotional cosmetics.
Back in March, we covered Blizzard's move toward bringing older promotional items into future Trading Post rotations.
That has already started happening.
The Hateforged Blazecycle returned through August's Trading Post after originally being connected to a Mountain Dew promotion.
September continues the trend with Gummi, a previously promotional battle pet appearing on the Trading Post for the first time.
Gummi costs 250 Trader's Tender.
This increasingly looks like Blizzard's preferred solution to limited-time promotional cosmetics:
Let the promotion remain special for a while.
Then eventually bring the reward back through an ordinary in-game system.
That is considerably healthier than permanently turning old marketing campaigns into archaeological artifacts.
September Still Has New Rewards Too
All of this returning stuff does not replace the normal monthly rotation.
September also introduces several new or current items, including:
- Ornery Breezestrider – 325 Trader's Tender
- Crested Aqua Leafmimic – 500 Trader's Tender
- Crested Verdant Leafmimic – 500 Trader's Tender
- Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon – 650 Trader's Tender
- Gummi – 250 Trader's Tender
There are also new Aquatic and Brick transmog color sets, friendship bracelets, Draenite and Pyrestone weapons and The Speaker's Ceremonial Collection.
So even players who already own all the returning rewards still have plenty of opportunities to make poor financial decisions with imaginary currency.
The September Bonus Reward Is the Crested Ember Leafmimic
The month's new Traveler's Log completion reward is the Crested Ember Leafmimic.
Unlike the Outlet items, you do not purchase this one directly.
Complete enough activities during September to fill the Traveler's Log and the red-scaled Leafmimic mount is yours.
That means collectors can potentially leave September with:
A new monthly mount.
Several returning mounts.
An old bonus reward they missed three years ago.
And absolutely no Trader's Tender remaining.
Do Not Try to Buy Everything
This is probably the most important advice for September.
The Outlet contains far more rewards than an ordinary player can reasonably buy in one month.
Trading Post currency is deliberately limited, and some returning rewards cost 600, 750, 850 or even 900 Tender each.
If you missed several old bonus mounts, you may need to prioritize.
Check your collection before spending anything.
Pick the rewards you genuinely regretted missing.
Remember that Blizzard has now demonstrated something important:
old Trading Post rewards can come back.
That makes panic-buying considerably less necessary.
September Is Basically Trading Post Catch-Up Month
The Trading Post began as a monthly cosmetic rotation built heavily around the idea that you could not buy everything.
That part is still true.
But September adds something the system badly needed:
a meaningful route back to old completion rewards.
Missed Ash'adar?
It is back.
Missed Depthstalker?
Back.
Missed one of the old ensembles?
There is a very good chance Blizzard has put it somewhere in the Outlet.
The month is still going to destroy your Trader's Tender balance.
But at least this time it is doing it while solving one of the Trading Post's oldest FOMO problems.
September is not merely another rotation.
It is the month Blizzard opens the warehouse.
