Iron Mantid could be a play on "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath or just the band Iron Maiden. They have a quest called Rampage Against the Machine, and one of their achievements is called Amber is the Color of My Energy, which is a line from the 311 song "Amber."
There are also a Shield of Iron Maiden, Aces High!, Hallowed be thy name and others. Blizzard loves Iron Maiden.
They parody pretty much anything related to anything. I wouldn't be surprised if everything in game was related to something in real life.
