World of Warcraft (WoW), the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, is renowned for its intricate lore and expansive world. One of the game's most intriguing aspects is its hidden secrets and Easter eggs, waiting to be discovered by the most dedicated players. One such secret lies in the depths of Zul'Gurub, a 20-man raid instance that was introduced back in 2005 and later revamped as a dungeon. Here's a guide on how to unlock the secrets of Zul'Gurub.
The Journey Begins
To start your journey, you'll need a character leveled up to 70. Once you've achieved this, head to Stranglethorn Vale, where Zul'Gurub is located. Enter the dungeon and make your way towards the temple in the middle of the instance. Instead of ascending the stairs where Jin'do is fought, take a right and walk around the outside of the temple to find a doorway leading to a chamber. Inside this chamber, you'll find a gong and a small object to the left of it. Interact with this object to receive a Shattered Hakkari Bijou.
The Fragmented Hakkari Bijou
The next step involves defeating two bosses to spawn Jin'do at the top of the temple. The choice of bosses is up to you, but High Priestess Kilnara and Bloodlord Mandokir are recommended as they have a chance of dropping mounts. Once Jin'do appears, engage him in combat. When phase two begins, return to the room with the gong. In the same spot as before, you'll find another object that can be interacted with to loot a Fragmented Hakkari Bijou.
After obtaining the Fragmented Hakkari Bijou, you can either teleport out of the instance using your Hearthstone or complete the boss fight by destroying Hakkar's Chains at the top of the temple. Once you've done this, you can combine the Shattered Hakkari Bijou and Fragmented Hakkari Bijou to create a Restored Hakkari Bijou, which begins a new quest.
Rin'Wosho the Trader
To complete this quest, head to Dazar'alor in Zuldazar and find Rin'Wosho in a building marked "The Yojamba Exchange". Rin'Wosho will accept the Bijou, completing the quest and unlocking the secrets of Zul'Gurub.
After completing this quest, Rin'Wosho will relocate to just inside Zul'Gurub, on the right side of the stairs. You'll now have access to a variety of old Zul'Gurub recipes and ensembles that can be purchased with Hakkari Bijous. These Bijous are account-bound currency that can be looted from bosses in Zul'Gurub.
Unlocking the secrets of Zul'Gurub is a rewarding experience for WoW players, offering access to unique items and a deeper understanding of the game's lore. However, be prepared for numerous runs of this dungeon to acquire every recipe and ensemble from Rin'Wosho. Fortunately, heroic dungeons only have a 24-hour cooldown, allowing for frequent attempts.
