Midnight is officially in that “launch week reality check” phase: Blizzard just pushed a massive March 4 hotfix wave that hits everything from class bugs and PvP interactions to Renown progression, professions, housing, and a bunch of quests that were quietly bricking people’s campaigns.
The full list is… a lot. So here’s the reader-friendly version: the changes most players will notice immediately when they log in.
The 10 Hotfixes That Matter Most
1) Frost DK: Remorseless Winter stops dismounting you
Yes, that was a real thing. No, it shouldn’t have been. It’s fixed now.
2) Renown progression: the rank 11 cap bug is fixed
If you were stuck and wondering why your Renown felt like it hit a weird invisible ceiling, this is why. You can now earn Renown above rank 11 as intended.
3) Enhancement Shaman: Arc Discharge now properly buffs Chain Lightning by 40%
The tooltip/behavior mismatch is corrected, and Arc Discharge has multiple fixes (including not being consumed by Lightning Bolt). If you play Enhance, today is a “re-test your build” day.
4) PvP: Vicious Flasks no longer work above level 80
This is a big “read it twice” change, especially if you were leaning on them in early Midnight PvP or world shenanigans.
5) Rogue PvP: Hemotoxin is functioning again
Short version: a straight-up bug fix, but a meaningful one for anyone using it.
6) Professions: rare profession tools & accessories are now BoE
These were Bind-on-Pickup. Now they’re Bind-on-Equip, which is an instant economy shake-up on the AH (and a nice quality-of-life change for alts/warbands).
7) Enchanting: Midnight ring enchants got buffed
Blizzard increased the stats on Midnight ring enchants. If you were “meh” on enchanting value this week, check again.
8) Consumables: Amani Extract Potion healing doubled
It’s now +100% healing compared to where it was—simple change, noticeable impact.
9) Housing: lumber harvesting gives XP + Fungal Pergola can be placed indoors
Small, but it signals Blizzard is already smoothing the housing loop and removing annoying placement restrictions.
10) “I got stuck / couldn’t progress” fixes across quests & scenarios
A bunch of campaign and side-quest blockers got cleaned up (including Valeera questline progression issues, scenario access problems, and map marker/start-location weirdness). If you were hard-stuck yesterday, try again today before you start filing support tickets.
A couple of sneaky “nice” fixes worth noticing

Hunter: Stomp / Wild Thrash no longer damaging through walls (goodbye, accidental dungeon cheese).

What you should do after you log in (30-second checklist)
