World of Warcraft: Midnight has officially launched, and players across Azeroth are diving into the Void-threatened lands of Quel’Thalas.

With a new level cap, revamped zones, player housing, and upcoming endgame systems, the first day of a new expansion always creates a rush of activity as players figure out the fastest and most rewarding ways to progress.

Here’s what most players are focusing on during the first 24 hours of Midnight.

Leveling to 90

The immediate priority for most players is reaching the new level cap of 90.

Players are progressing through the new storyline that begins in Silvermoon City and moves through the updated zones of:

  • Eversong Woods

  • Zul’Aman

  • Harandar

  • Voidstorm

The leveling campaign introduces the Void invasion storyline led by Xal’atath while gradually unlocking new systems and activities.

Unlocking the Haranir Allied Race

Another early objective for many players is unlocking the Haranir, the new allied race introduced in Midnight.

To unlock the Haranir, players must:

  • Progress through the Silvermoon campaign

  • Complete key questlines in Harandar

  • Finish the allied race unlock chain

Once unlocked, the Haranir can be played by both factions and several classes, including Druid, Mage, Hunter, and Shaman.

Exploring Player Housing

One of the most talked-about features in Midnight is player housing.

Many players are already experimenting with:

  • decorating interiors

  • unlocking furniture rewards

  • exploring Neighborhood systems

  • completing housing Endeavors

The system allows players to customize personal homes while interacting with shared community neighborhoods.

Preparing for Mythic 0 Dungeons

Although Season 1 begins March 17, players are already preparing by running early dungeon content.

Many groups are focusing on:

  • learning new dungeon mechanics

  • collecting pre-season gear

  • testing new class builds

Mythic 0 dungeons are expected to be the primary gearing path until the first raid and Mythic+ season begin.

Testing New Talent Builds

Midnight also introduced major class redesigns and Apex talents.

This has led to a surge in experimentation as players try:

  • new rotations

  • talent combinations

  • Void-themed abilities

  • updated class identities

Theorycrafting communities are already sharing early builds and discussing which specs might dominate once Season 1 begins.

Launch Week Is Just Getting Started

The first days of an expansion are always chaotic, but Midnight’s launch appears to be relatively smooth so far.

Between leveling, exploring housing, unlocking the Haranir, and preparing for Season 1, players have plenty of content to explore while the community begins to discover the expansion’s early meta.

As more guides and strategies emerge, the first real competitive race will begin when Season 1 launches later this month.
