Patch 12.0.7 is finally throwing collectors a small but very welcome bone.
With Dragonflight Timewalking, previously unused Dracthyr-style shoulder appearances are becoming obtainable through the Timewalking vendor. It is not the full wardrobe revolution Dracthyr players have been begging for, but it is progress.
And at this point, Dracthyr fashion fans will take progress wherever they can get it.
Razorscale and Dragonstone Shoulders Are Coming
According to Wowhead’s PTR coverage, two new shoulder ensembles are currently available from the Dragonflight Timewalking vendor in Patch 12.0.7: Ensemble: Razorscale Pauldrons and Ensemble: Dragonstone Shoulderguards.
Each ensemble includes eight recolors, which gives collectors a solid range of options instead of one lonely color variant tossed into the void.
For Dracthyr players, that matters. Their visual identity has always been strong in concept but frustrating in practice. A race built around dramatic dragon fantasy should not feel like it is fighting the wardrobe system every time someone opens the transmog window.
This Is Good, But Let’s Not Throw a Parade Yet
The new shoulder options are absolutely welcome.
They add more visual variety. They lean into the unique Dracthyr style. They give collectors something new to chase through Dragonflight Timewalking. And they finally make some unused appearances available instead of leaving them locked away like forbidden fashion fossils.
But this does not solve the whole Dracthyr transmog problem.
Dracthyr players still have a very specific set of frustrations around armor visibility, form restrictions, and the awkward gap between what their character fantasy promises and what the wardrobe system actually allows.
Shoulders help. They do not magically turn the dressing room into paradise.
Dragonflight Timewalking Just Got More Interesting for Collectors
This also gives Dragonflight Timewalking another reason to matter beyond the usual badge farming and mount chasing.
Transmog rewards are often what keep old content relevant for years. Players may outgear dungeons, ignore reputation, and forget half the mechanics, but give them a vendor with new appearances and suddenly everyone rediscovers their deep passion for weekly chores.
That is especially true when the appearances fill a long-standing visual gap.
Dracthyr shoulder options are not just “more stuff.” They are more stuff for a race that has been visibly starving for better wardrobe support since Dragonflight launched.
Fashion Is Endgame, Obviously
There is always a certain type of player who pretends transmog is not important.
These people are wrong, and probably wearing mismatched boots.
Transmog is one of WoW’s longest-lasting progression systems because style does not get replaced by next season’s item level. A good appearance can outlive expansions, patches, balance changes, and whatever terrible trinket you convinced yourself was worth farming.
For Dracthyr, better shoulder options are a small but meaningful step toward making the race feel less neglected in the fashion department.
Dracthyr Still Want the Whole Outfit
Patch 12.0.7 does not fix everything.
But Razorscale Pauldrons and Dragonstone Shoulderguards are exactly the kind of reward that makes collectors pay attention. They are specific, visual, long-requested, and tied to content players will already be running.
That is a good combination.
Still, the message from Dracthyr players will probably be simple: nice shoulders, now keep going.
Because when your race is built around dragon fantasy, “at least the shoulders look better now” should be the start of the conversation, not the finish line.
