And the biggest change is attached directly to their new tier set.
Blizzard is doubling the Genesis duration increase from the Restoration Druid four-piece bonus from 4 seconds to 8 seconds.
Rejuvenation, Germination and Wild Growth are also receiving direct healing buffs.
Blizzard's reason is unusually specific.
Restoration Druid feels too weak in Season 2 dungeons.
So while several recent tuning passes have been about shaving power away from overperforming specs, Resto is getting the opposite treatment.
The tree requires watering.
The 4-Piece Genesis Bonus Is Doubling
The headline change affects Restoration's Curse of Ula'tek four-piece class set.
At the moment, the bonus increases Genesis duration by 4 seconds.
After the next reset, that extension becomes 8 seconds.
That is a straight 100% increase to this part of the four-piece effect and should make the seasonal set considerably more noticeable once players complete it.
Blizzard explicitly says the goal is to make sure the four-piece feels like an impactful and noticeable set bonus, rather than something players equip because an addon told them the item level was higher.
We have already seen Blizzard take the same approach elsewhere in this tuning wave. Retribution Paladin's four-piece is receiving an enormous damage increase because the developers felt its rotational requirement was not rewarding enough.
Season 2 tier sets are apparently entering their performance-review period.
Rejuvenation and Germination Get 15% More Healing
The tier bonus is only part of the package.
Rejuvenation and Germination healing are both increasing by 15%.
This is particularly important for Restoration because Rejuvenation is supposed to be one of the specialization's defining tools.
Blizzard says Rejuvenation has felt weak in Season 2, especially in dungeon content where a healer has fewer targets and individual HoTs need to contribute meaningful recovery rather than simply becoming one small layer in a giant raid-healing blanket.
A 15% increase should make keeping Rejuvenations active on a five-player group considerably more rewarding.
Germination naturally benefits alongside it, strengthening builds that lean harder into maintaining multiple Rejuvenation effects.
Wild Growth Is Getting 10% More Healing
Wild Growth healing is also increasing by 10%.
Again, Blizzard specifically calls out dungeon performance.
Wild Growth should be one of Restoration's natural answers when several party members take damage together, but the developers believe the spell is currently underperforming relative to what Season 2 asks healers to handle.
The additional 10% gives Resto more group recovery without requiring a new talent setup or unusual rotational trick.
Press Wild Growth.
Receive more Wild Growth.
Sometimes class tuning can be pleasantly uncomplicated.
Blizzard Is Taking Some Raid Healing Back
There is one important catch.
Blizzard does not want these dungeon buffs to turn Restoration Druid into an overwhelming raid healer.
So the same tuning pass contains two targeted adjustments designed to keep overall raid throughput roughly where it currently sits.
Nature's Bounty will replicate 10% of Regrowth's healing instead of 20%.
Everbloom will heal five targets instead of six.
Everbloom's individual healing is actually being increased, however, from 40% to 48% of Lifebloom's final heal.
The result is a deliberate redistribution of power.
Stronger direct HoTs and better five-player healing.
Slightly less mass raid output from effects that scale particularly well with many targets.
This Is a Mythic+ Buff More Than a Raid Buff
That distinction is really the story.
Blizzard is not saying Restoration Druid is universally terrible.
The developers are saying its Season 2 toolkit is not delivering enough in dungeons.
That fits the broader philosophy behind the aggressive Season 2 class tuning schedule, where Blizzard plans to use early live raid and Mythic+ data rather than allowing weak specializations to sit untouched for months.
Season 2 Mythic+ is already proving fairly demanding. We have watched Altar of Fangs punish groups heavily during its first days, followed almost immediately by Blizzard nerfing several of its most dangerous mechanics.
Those environments put enormous pressure on healers.
If Restoration's core HoTs are not keeping pace, a dungeon quickly exposes the problem.
Resto’s Next Reset Looks Much Better
Once the tuning goes live, Restoration Druids will be looking at:
- 4-piece Genesis duration increase: 8 seconds instead of 4.
- Rejuvenation healing: +15%.
- Germination healing: +15%.
- Wild Growth healing: +10%.
- Nature's Bounty replication: 10% instead of 20%.
- Everbloom targets: 5 instead of 6.
- Everbloom healing: 48% of Lifebloom's final heal instead of 40%.
For raiders, the package is more of a reshuffle.
For Mythic+ players, it is much closer to a straightforward buff.
And for Restoration Druids currently assembling their Season 2 tier set, the four-piece just became considerably harder to ignore.
Four extra seconds may not sound dramatic.
When the previous bonus only gave you four, however, Blizzard has effectively looked at the timer and pressed:
×2.
