World of Warcraft’s latest Turbulent Timeways event enters its sixth and final week with the European reset on August 5.

Dragonflight Timewalking returns for one last rotation before the event ends alongside Patch 12.1 on August 12.

For players currently sitting at three out of four weeks on the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement, this is the final opportunity to unlock the Spawn of Vyranoth flying mount.

Players starting from zero this week cannot complete the achievement before the event ends.

The timeways may be turbulent.

They are not generous enough to fit four separate weeks into one Wednesday.

You Need Mastery of Timeways in Four Different Weeks

The Spawn of Vyranoth comes from the Master of the Turbulent Timeways V achievement.

It requires players to earn the Mastery of Timeways buff during four different weeks of the six-week event.

Progress is account-wide, meaning the same character does not need to complete the requirement every week.

However, earning the buff on several characters during the same weekly reset does not normally provide several weeks of achievement credit.

Anyone currently at three out of four can finish during the final rotation.

Players at two out of four or lower have run out of available weekly resets.

Four Timewalking Dungeons Unlock the Weekly Credit

Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants one stack of Knowledge of Timeways.

Each additional completion refreshes the duration and adds another stack.

At four stacks, the effect transforms into Mastery of Timeways.

That grants a 30% experience bonus from killing monsters and completing quests for three hours.

More importantly for mount collectors, receiving Mastery during the week adds one point of achievement progress.

For most players, the straightforward method is therefore:

Queue for Dragonflight Timewalking.

Complete four dungeons on one character.

Confirm that Knowledge of Timeways becomes Mastery of Timeways.

Check the achievement under World Events and Timewalking.

Four dungeons.

One weekly credit.

One frozen dragon mount, provided this is at least your fourth qualifying week.

Dragonflight Timewalking Returns for the Finale

The final week brings the event back to Dragonflight, the same expansion that opened this Turbulent Timeways rotation.

The available Timewalking pool includes:

Algeth’ar Academy

Brackenhide Hollow

Halls of Infusion

Neltharus

Ruby Life Pools

The Azure Vault

The dungeons use Timewalking scaling and can be entered through the ordinary Group Finder.

There is no separate Turbulent Timeways zone or special queue.

Select Dragonflight Timewalking, enter the dungeon and hope the tank remembers that Ruby Life Pools has never respected anyone’s schedule.

The Experience Buff Is Account-Wide Once Earned

One of this event’s useful improvements is that the experience benefit from Mastery of Timeways can be shared across the Warband.

Once the stronger buff has been activated, players can use it to level other characters more efficiently.

The final week is therefore useful even for accounts that have already earned the mount.

Four Timewalking completions can provide a substantial experience boost for the remainder of the event.

The buff’s timer pauses while the character is logged out and resumes after returning.

Completing another Timewalking dungeon refreshes its duration.

This makes the event particularly effective for finishing alts before Patch 12.1 arrives and everyone becomes distracted by new quests, systems and another collection of currencies requiring several paragraphs of explanation.

Check Your Achievement Before Farming

Players should check their current progress before beginning the final week.

Master of the Turbulent Timeways V can be found under the World Events and Timewalking achievement category.

The tracker should show how many qualifying weeks have been completed.

If it says three out of four, complete the four required dungeons this week.

If it already says four out of four, the Spawn of Vyranoth should already be available through the achievement reward.

If it says two out of four or less, the mount can no longer be earned during this particular event through normal weekly progression.

Checking first may save several hours of enthusiastic but mathematically doomed dungeon running.

Missing the Event May Not Mean Missing the Mount Forever

Turbulent Timeways achievement mounts have historically returned through Timewalking vendors during later versions of the event.

Previous rewards have been sold for 5,000 Timewarped Badges after their original achievement window ended.

That suggests Spawn of Vyranoth may eventually become available again during a future Turbulent Timeways event.

Blizzard has not announced when that will happen.

The achievement itself is still limited to the current event, so players able to complete it now should not rely on an unknown future vendor rotation.

Five thousand badges are also considerably more expensive than completing four Dragonflight dungeons before next Wednesday.

The Event Ends With Patch 12.1

Turbulent Timeways V runs until August 11 in North America and ends with the European reset on August 12.

That is also when Patch 12.1: Curse of Ula’tek launches in Europe.

The final Dragonflight week is therefore the last window for earning achievement credit, using the event’s accelerated experience buff and collecting the associated weekly Timewalking rewards.

Players at three out of four weeks have one job:

Complete four Timewalking dungeons before maintenance.

Players already finished can use the week to level alts.

Everyone starting from zero can still enjoy Dragonflight Timewalking, but the Spawn of Vyranoth has already departed their current timeline.
