World of Warcraft players have a remarkable ability to take an innocent seasonal activity and turn it into an exercise in logistical efficiency. Give them a Halloween achievement involving nine candy quests, three different regions and several days of waiting, and somebody will inevitably discover how to finish the whole thing before lunch.
That is precisely what has happened with Hallow's End 2026.
Players have discovered that the new Sweet Tooth achievement can be completed in a single day, provided you have enough alternate characters and know a small trick involving Nomi, the holiday's candy-making quest giver.
Even better, you do not have to wait for your Housing neighborhood to receive the correct Halloween theme.
For collectors staring nervously at the November 2 event deadline, that is rather welcome news.
Sweet Tooth Normally Requires Nine Different Candy Quests
As we explained in our earlier coverage of Hallow's End's haunted Housing neighborhoods, Blizzard has introduced three seasonal neighborhood themes inspired by Duskwood, Felwood and Drustvar.
Each theme offers three different candy-making quests through Nomi. Completing all three quests associated with a region awards its corresponding achievement: Duskwood Caramel Crafter, Felwood Fudge Bite Former or Drustvar Choc-O-Drop Designer.
Complete all three regional achievements, and Sweet Tooth is yours.
The problem is that each character can complete only one of Nomi's candy quests per day. A player relying on a single character must therefore spread the nine objectives across several daily resets.
There is also the question of location. Your neighborhood's assigned Halloween theme determines where its Sugar Run quest initially sends you, creating another potential complication.
Fortunately, Warcraft players have found a way around both inconveniences.
The Alt Trick Lets You Finish Everything in One Day
According to a newly published Wowhead guide to the Sweet Tooth achievement, players can use multiple characters to complete different candy-making quests during the same day.
The trick begins with Sugar Run, obtained through your neighborhood's Halloween activities.
Take the portal to the assigned zone, speak with Nomi and complete the initial Sugar Run hand-in. But before accepting the next candy-making quest, consider where you actually need to go.
Players have discovered that completing this initial hand-in makes Nomi's daily quests available in the other two regions as well.
That means you can travel to Duskwood, Felwood or Drustvar and select the particular candy quest you still need, even when your neighborhood has a different theme.
Repeat the process on different characters, selecting a different objective each time.
With nine characters available, it is possible to complete all nine candy quests in a single day. Three characters can finish one region, another three can handle the second, and the remaining three can complete the third.
Players with fewer alts can still use the method to reduce the waiting involved, spreading their remaining objectives across subsequent daily resets.
It is another example of why visiting different Housing neighborhoods has become unexpectedly useful. Although this particular shortcut relies on travelling between quest locations after the initial hand-in, it continues the broader trend of players discovering ways to navigate Housing's location-based systems more efficiently.
Don't Wait Until November 2 to Finish Your Halloween Collection
Hallow's End continues until November 2, leaving collectors a limited window to finish the new achievements.
Fortunately, Sweet Tooth is not the only reward worth pursuing. This year's Halloween activities also include new Housing decorations, additional candy buckets throughout Midnight's zones and the Scarecrow Pepe decoration.
We previously explored the expanding collection of seasonal Housing decorations, while our holiday vendor guide explains where to find the merchants selling festive furnishings.
For anyone following our complete Midnight Housing guide, this year's Halloween event is another reminder that owning a home in Azeroth has become a surprisingly involved hobby.
The important thing is to check which candy quests you have already completed before sending another alt through the process. Repeating an objective you already have will not help finish the achievement.
Blizzard designed Sweet Tooth around visiting different seasonal locations and participating in Halloween activities over time.
Players have responded by treating it like a carefully planned military campaign involving nine characters, three regions and an alarming amount of candy.
Somewhere in Azeroth, Nomi is probably wondering why the same player keeps arriving in a different body.
And honestly, after twenty-two years of Warcraft, he really should know better.
