Onyxia Evade Spot

If your Raid ist wiping thousand times at Onyxia, here is the solution.

There is a Evade Position where you can Evade Onyxia + Adds to save your Armor.. Just run to the marks before you wipe..

1. You must stand at Point A.

2. Jump from Point A. to the Evade Position marked on the Screenshot below.

Have fun at Wiping!

Skipping the initial cooldown of equippable items

Everyone hates those 30 second timers you have to wait before a recently equipped item can be used. Especially, if you want to use the tabard to port to the argent tournament or the neck piece to port to black temple, it sucks to wait. Another example would be a test of a acquired fun item.

However, I've found a solution for this:
1. Equip the item with the cooldown
2. Fly into an instance (you should find one pretty often - example: you are in front of archavons vault but your raid leader decides to go to argent tournament instead)
3. The cooldown is skipped :-)

Confirmed for the argent crusade tabard and for the black temple neck piece. Don't know if others are also supported by this bug.

Enjoy :-)

PS: i know that 30 seconds aren't that much but if you find yourself near an instance portal, why don't just skip them.

Massive spell detail increase!

Do you want to get this amazing spell effect in World of Warcraft?
You only need to input this command: /console SpellEffectLevel 5000.
You also need to set Particle Density (in Video option) as high as possible.
(If you want it restored to default then type /console SpellEffectLevel 9).

I messed around a little and stopped at Spell Density of 100.

That feels like right.

EDIT: Okay, I played a 5man and changed it to 25 xD.

DECRASE OF LATENCY BY 80-160ms

Only requires you to change two things in the windows registry, allowing your ping to drop by 80-175MS.

Process :

Start>RUN>regedit>ENTER

1:

In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic
es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\

There will be multiple NIC interfaces listed in there, find the one you use to connect to the internet, there will be several interfaces listed (they have long names like (6DBA9DEN-7AOE-4C03-B60F-ADB1777C41D4). Click each one of them, the right one will have lots of settings in it and you will see your machines IP address listed there somewhere. Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TcpAckFrequency, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.

2:

In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet
ers

Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TCPNoDelay, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.

Click Ok and close the registry editor, then reboot your PC.

That's all.

Don't forget to make a backup of your registry before.

New Race/Class ~ Theory & Explanation

I did not write this, found it over on mmOverload , but I did clean it up and make highlights and lists to make it look better and easier to add too; when more is found!

I noticed there was a lot of confusion surrounding the lore of these new additions, but, rest assured, that if properly investigated it can be shown that these additions do indeed make sense!

Yes, these do contain some amount of speculation in to how they will fit into the lore, but I trust you are all smart enough people to tell when I wander into the realm of speculation and guesswork!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alliance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dwarf Mage

It is a little known fact to those who were not involved in the beta that Dwarves could in fact be mages until a last minute change was made by Blizzard. If you look in your manual you received with your copy of vanilla WoW, you will see that Dwarves are listed as having mage as a playable class, showing how last minute a change this was. Quite frankly, there's no reason why they could not be mages, in fact there are famous magi amongst the dwarves, such as Thaurissan. And with such close contact to humans and gnomes, both races with magnificent mages, it seems a small miracle they have to have mages themselves.

Sources: World of Warcraft Manual

Dwarf Shaman

They already exist in the form of the Wildhammer Clan. And, while some may argue that this is a lore lol because Alliance players roll Ironforge dwarves, one would notice that while the Wildhammer Clan once had the distinction of being a seperate, neutral, faction, that is no longer true and they are merely designated as Alliance members.

Sources:

Gnome Priest

Gnome Priests may seem an odd decision at first, but take a moment to consider the mindset of the gnomes. They are curious beings who wish to understand everything around them, and what surrounds them is the Light. Every other race besides the Gnomes in the Alliance has priests, it is no wonder that they have not sought to study the art of healing through the Light sooner. I could see them perhaps taking a much more methodical approach, rather than the religious approach of the other races.

Sources:

Human Hunter
Humans have long been proficient in the art of hunting and trapping wildlife, and while it was their Elven allies that wielded the bow and arrow in wars past, many humans have been shown to be quite adept at the art, one even managed to achieve the rank of Ranger Lord before being turned the Scourge. He is more commonly known as Nathanos Blightcaller. And in Northrend, much of the Grizzly Hills is occupied by human hunters and trappers.

Early concept art has been unearthed of Human Hunters, perhaps showing they were an originally intended class.

Night Elf Mage

Many people struggle with this one, but I will seek to perhaps even give a quite plausible explanation for the return of the Highborne that is seen in this screenshot (http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/...highbornes.jpg). While many people believe that all the Highborne left to become High Elves or Blood Elves, that is not a true. There are many remnants of Highborn, most notably that of the Shendralar, who dwell within Dire Maul. I speculate that since Immol'thar and their Prince Tothreldrin have been slain by adventurers, they have found themselves without a source of power or immortality, leaving them vulnerable to the dangers the demons and ogres pose. So, they send an envoy to Tyrande in order to ask for re-admittance into Night Elven culture but with the catch of being able to practice their magics as long as they do not consume sources of power like Moonwells.

Sources: mmo-champion.com

Blizzard Explanation Quote:
Night Elves Mages have been added because it sounded pretty cool to have Elves using arcane when they shouldn't be anymore.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Horde
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Blood Elf Warrior

Every race has meat shields, and blood elves are shown they are no light weights when it comes to melee combat. It is not implausible for there to be warriors who are not Blood Knights.

Sources: Unrequired.

Orc Mage

Orc mages are quite frankly not that far of a stretch, seeing as Thrall condemns warlock magic, perhaps he has begun to offer magic wielders amongst the orcs training in the art of the magi. There really is a fine line between mages and warlocks, the difference usually being the employment of shadow magic instead of the arcane.

EDIT: A new theory has been suggested that Med'an, who's story is so long winded that I will not repeat but provide a link to, will return to the Orcs since he is a half-orc, and bring with him his amazing mage powers passed down from his father, Medivh, to impress the Orcs and perhaps even begin to teach him the arcane arts.
Credit goes to Envojus for the theory!

Sources:

Tauren Paladin

Personally, I believe the Taurens gaining usage of the Light is perhaps the biggest stretch out of all of these. But perhaps the Tauren do not tap into the Light as Humans and Blood Elves do, but rather through their "sun god". There is already evidence of some druids beginning to experiment in the usage of the Light, and with proper training applied, an eight foot tall cow-man clad in armor and the power of the light would be a formidable force indeed.

Sources:

Tauren Priest

Tauren Priests could be those who did not posses the physical strength to become Paladins, yet still heard the calling of the Light. And of course, when there is Light, there will always be those who embrace the shadow.

EDIT: There are sketches in the Collector's Edition Artbook that came with vanilla WoW that do depict Tauren priests. This could be another case like the Dwarf Mage. I will attempt to find copies of this art and post them soon. (8/15 4:54 CST)

Artwork:

Sources: See Tauren Paladin.

Troll Druid

Once again, seemingly another "WTF?!" choice, but this one is even simpler to apply and understand. Essentially every troll raid and almost every troll instances involves cases of trolls taking on the forms of animals or the essence of the animal. Usually this is attributed the Loas. It seems likely that the trolls will learn to shapeshift in a controlled manner into a select number of species by invoking the name of these "Loas". Under sources you can find a list of every troll themed instance with a case of troll transformation!

Sources:

Undead Hunter

Once again, there are many humans who proved themselves quite able hunters in life, that could very well carry over into death, as in the case of Nathanos Blightcaller. Perhaps the Blightcaller provides training and acts as the leader for up and coming undead hunters?

Leading the Cavalry (50 Mounts Achivement)

This guide is geared towards level 80 players with a decent amount of gold, Lower level characters can not do all of these things.

Havent done anything on the site in a long time, searched over and over for this before I gave up, and I wouldnt mind getting Contrib rank, so I figured, hey, Ill contribute.

Anyway..

This is a guide on How to get > [Leading the Cavalry] <> achievement, and getting the [Reins of the Albino Drake].

Getting 50 mounts isnt really all that hard, Just expensive and time consuming.

First, You really need to be (This being the easiest way I have found) Exalted with all the 5 home cities. This is much easier at level 80 where, If you quested to level, You should be at least revered with everyone. The easiest way is to do all the quests in Mulgore, Durotar, Barrens, Silverpine/Tirisfal, and Eversong for horde, and Elwynn, Dun Morogh, Teldrassil, Darkshore/Westfall/Ashenvale and Both of the Draenei Starting Islands for Alliance.
This is not very hard if your 80, and Can be done with a few hours each day in a little over, if not under, a week. You also get the title 'Ambassador' And [Ambassador of the Horde/Alliance]. Once thats done, You can go and buy all the mounts...

Horde

Trolls = Raptors >> Sen'jin Village in Durotar
Orcs = Wolves >> Orgrimmar in the Valley of Honor
Undead = Undead Horses >> Brill in Tirisfal
Tauren = Kodos >> Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore
Blood Elfs = Hawkstriders >> Right Outside of Silvermoon City

Alliance

Humans = Horses >> Menethil Harbor an Eastvale Logging Camp >Elwynn
Dwarves = Rams >> Amberstill Ranch in Dun Morogh
Gnomes = Mechanostriders >> Outside Kharanos in Dun Morogh
Night Elves = Nightsabers >> Darnassus > Cenarion Enclave
Dreanei = Elekks >> RIGHT Outside of The Exodar

Cost

All Epic mounts at Exalted = 8g
All Non-Epic mounts at Exalted = 80s

That right there, gets you a total of 33 Mounts >> Sooo... >> 33/50

Just 17 more

Next, A Fairly easy one, its free, But takes some time, For those of you out there who like to PVP, This isnt going to be such a big deal. Get 90 AV Marks of Honor, and 30 WSG Marks, and 30 AB Marks......
Go Buy a Frostwolf Howler, Or a Stormpike Charger from the Alterac Valley Quartermaster in the Alterac Mountains. (60 AV Marks). Then Go and get ONE PVP Mount (any of them) from the Mount vendor in Orgrimmar or SW. They can be found where you would buy any PVP Gear or Old Weapons.

Thats 35/50, 15 More

Next, And this one takes some time, The EASIEST way to get the majority of the last mounts is to grind Mag'har, or Kurenai, This is really very easy, The Obsidian Warbeads Stack to 200 and turn in in stacks of 10, for 500 reputation each, The OGRES Which drop them give 10 Rep each. Although its Very time consuming, It goes alot quicker than most rep grinds.
From this, you can buy 8 Talbuk Mounts. 4 Riding Mounts for 40g Each, and 4 War Mounts for 90g each, both 100% speed Ground mounts. Buy them all, And you will have 43 Mounts.

Just 7 More!

As stated above, this guide was made for level 80s, so I assume you have at LEAST Normal flying.

Buy all of the 3 Normal Flight speed Mounts, thats 3 mounts, just 4 more. This next one is quite hard, and you might not get it done solo.
The Blue,Green,Yellow,Red [Resonating Crystal]s. They All drop from TRASH In The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, A level 60, 40 Man raid instance. The Green, Blue, And Yellow have a fairly high drop rate, but The red one is only 2.2%.
AQ40 Is in southeast Silithis. There are two of the instances, Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, and The TEMPLE of Ahn'Qiraj. Make sure to go to the temple, which is up the big stairs to the right when you come in. The first four Big Statue guys in the beginning of the instance have the highest chance to drop the mounts.

You want to make sure to kill the Obsidian Destroyer that patrols there first.

The thing with the first 4 is, they all start with a random buff, and when that one dies, he gives his unique buff to all of the others. Example: Mortal Strike, 50% Reduced healing Debuff that He will cast. You want to make sure that you get the right ones with the right debuffs down first, like one that does thorns, No one cares about thorns, and if they all have em, who cares.
Anyway, What you want to do is get a group, Go in, Kill the Obsidian Destroyer, Kill 3/4 of the first Stone guys, and run out, then Come back in, kill 3/4, And rinse and repeat, Looting them as you kill them to see if they drop the mounts.

Now, since the Red mount is such a rare drop, For those of you who are rich, Go to Mei Francis in Dalaran and buy the Brown Bear from her, Therefore replacing the red bug mount. Note: The Bugs that you get can only be used in AQ40 and AQ20, But count towards the 50 mounts achievement.

Well, Thats it, 50 Mounts, and an Albino Drake to boot, Enjoy your Achievements and new mounts.

Shaman and Warlock buffs - Great for low levels!

I went on my warlock to just run around. I had my felhunter out and he gives a buff to all in the party called "Fel Intelligence" - and highest rank gives 48 intellect and 64 spirit. At this time I was grouping with a level 8 priest and he had 1k mana - YES SIR!

After that I saw that he had the highest rank of fel intelligence on him as a buff - yay!

This work with shamans totems to ! For instance you can have a level 1 with 100 + spell power .

Use your creative minds to make this usefull..

Sex change on Pirate's Day!

As you know, today, the 19th of September, it's Pirate's Day!
You can go to any of the capital cities (not the sanctuaries) and ask a commoner for a pirate costume. When the commoner puts this costume buff on you, it will preserve the sex you are appearing as, but the race will be the one you actually are.
Example:
As a male night elf, I would like to become a female night elf.
I go to Stormwind, and buy/create some Pygmy Oil. I drink it until I become a female pygmy gnome.
Now, if I don't like being a gnome, I can ask the Human Commoners in Stormwind to give me a pirate costume. This will make me a night elf female with a pirate costume

1. Use one of the many sex change methods, like using an Iron boot flask (female to male) or pygmy oil to change your sex. You can test if it works if you have the Matron/Patron title, which will change.
2. Ask a commoner in a capital city for a pirate's costume.
3. ?????
4. You are now your original race, but as the opposite sex and with a pirate's costume.

How to make your Argent Squire to do whatever you do, wherever and whenever you want.

Hey folks. Found out this today when i did some arena with my mate (it didn't go good at all for those who wanna know..). Anyways i found how to make your Argent Squire to do whatever you want, of the things you can use him for when he gets the Pony..

Preparement (Skip these steps if you got the Argent Squire Pony:
Get Exalted Champion of The Alliance (Champion with all cities + Exalted with them)
Get 150 Champions seals and buy the Argent Squire Pony.

Get use of your "slave". Okay, now if you got exalted bla,bla with everything you can select one of three things that your Argent Squire can do for you.

1. Open your bank
2. Open your mailbox
3. Open a Vendor

Once you selected one you can't choose another for the next coming four hours due your "slave" got kicked from hes work. But it's a little trick of how to kick him up and get him back to work!

Simply /w a guildie, friend, random guy whatever and tell him to join Skirmish 2vs2. He can hide it if he wants to, however you join it. When you spawned in the arena. Call for your Argent Squire and now you should be able to select a new work that he can do. Select what you want him be able to do. Then leave the skirmish.

To make it clear.. this takes away the 4hours cd he normaly got and you can choose a new work for him whenever you want. This is also possible to make wherever you are, you can be somewhere in Silithus and /w a guy in Dalaran and he'll join Skirmish.

Rince and repeat if you want bank, mailbox, vendor.

IoC - Never lose control over your base

After doing a few Isle of Conquests I decided to arm one of the cannons on top of the towers. I noticed how the west cannons (Base's point of view) can be directed into a small part of your own base. When aimed correctly you can hit the GY flag, making it nearly impossible for enemies to cap your base.

Here you can see the blue pilar of light, this way it's very easy to aim at the flag.

Move around with the camera for a bit untill you can see the flag.

I've been doing this for two days now, horde will come up only sometimes, if it's melee, you can shoot at your own cannon and kill it, if it's not you're going to have to deal with him yourself.

If this is just common sense, ignore my post, but I have yet to see someone else doing it. And I figured this is not how Blizzard intended it. Also I don't know if this works for Horde aswell.

Bypass 5 instance-ID's per hour-limit

Simple way to bypass the ID-limit in instances.
1 SM-Cath-Run takes 3 minutes with 1 pull. I RAF'd 2 chars, so 3 accounts.

First, clear instance with your main. I just ran to the boss and killed him, you have to survive the 9sec stun. Run back to your toons at entrance and bomb everything.

If everything is dead, log out with your main. A toon has lead now. Go with both out of the instance and reset normally. Disband the group and log back in with your main. He is now in a new ID. Invite the two toons and enter instance, repeat.

I always disable addons because of faster login and entering instance. If your toons are too low, they will aggro the first mob, so kill this first.

Perfect method for fast RAF'ing, also great for farming the Deathcharger's Mount or chests.

Short version:
  1. Clear instance.
  2. Log off with main.
  3. Leave instance with toon(s) and disband group.
  4. Reset normally.
  5. Log back in with main.
  6. Invite toon(s) and enter instance.
  7. ???
  8. Profit

"Additional instances cannot be launched" is the problem. DO NOT do this at peak times or whenever you can't enter the instance immediately. You get ported to hearthstone-location.

Rogue: Making a autotargetting Sap

Sap is not spammable anymore , boohoo. Well, here is your solution!

Simply make this macro:

#showtooltip Sap
/targetenemy
/cast Sap

Spam this in arena, and it will sap anything stealthing around you (it targets it and saps it).
This also works in BGs, but because of the great many people around you, the /targetenemy may screw things up.

Happy Sapping.

730k EXP/Hour (Instant respawns)

In Zul'Drak the area called "Voltarus" in the western area of the zone has the big floating building with Drakuru inside it. At the very end of the chain you end up MCing his zombie blight things and fighting him with them.

There are little areas to the sides of the four elite monsters, each containing three mobs called "blight geist."

If you attack the mobs while the event is going on, you are subject to a 1200/tick dot which is all over the floor where the mobs spawn. However, when the event is not in process, the damage does NOT occur, and the geists instantly respawn.

They're level 74-75 and give full EXP per kill, and are subject to EXP gains due to Bind To Account gear. At level 78, I was gaining 1800-1950 exp per kill rested, with an instant respawn rate. On an elemental shaman, I had zero down time and literally no time to even loot the corpses due to the ridiculous respawn rate(although there is decent loot on each mob. Greens, 15-25s per mob, drakkari offerings, cloth etc)

Here's a picture of the EXP gains I had during the session:

Probably the best way to grind gold.

I have managed to make 1100 G/H this way. This is server depended, as epic gems are 50g or less on some servers.

REQ: Level 71+, opposite faction friends.
PLACE: Wintergrasp

Now, when you kill some1 in WG as a level 80 I get around 40 honor, and when I loot their corpse I get approx 1g.

TO-DO-LIST:
  • 1. Wait for WG to end.

  • 2. Get your opposite faction friends and make them go naked and sit next to a spirit resser.

  • 3. Kill them and loot their corpses, so if we say you got 5 friends, you get 5g + 200 honor off them every 30 seconds (Ress time is 30 seconds)

  • PROFIT: 5g + 200 honor per 30 sec, 10g + 400 HP per minute, 600G + 24000 HP per hour, 1200G + 50k HP per 2 hours = 1200G + 5 Epic Gems (Around 1k gold) = 2200G per 2 hours = 1100G per hour.

    HF Grinding.

PS: 10k honor points = 1 Epic Gem

Keep your faction mount when transfering.

    his one is VERY simple.

Lets say you're a human, mount up on your Swift White Steed, and then transfer to horde.

As soon as the transfer is complete, you will still be mounted on your human mount, but be horde.

    Faction-Change Tips

Before you hop right on the Faction Train there are a few things you might want to remember. Here are a few:

    - Make sure you have transfered all the gold you want to take to the character you are changing. (Up to 20k but you can also craft things such as choppers if you want to essentially bring a lot more.)(Remember that horde cannot use alliance choppers and vice versa [thanks pman22])

    • Check your AH prices for certain goods. Say as alliance you can get Icethorn for 12g a stack and on horde it goes for 25g a stack you could make some great profit.

    • Make sure to pick up any items easily found on your faction (Alliance - White Kitten Carrier, Horde- Black Kitten Carrier and essentially any other faction specific mini pets)

    • If you PvP make sure you find out which Race is best for you in PvP (Human for alliance)

    • Make sure any heirlooms you want on the other faction are on the character you switch.

That's all I can think of right now but if anyone has anything else to add just leave a post and I'll edit it (with credit given to you of course)

    Good Luck with your change

Level 55: 3500 xp per mob

    Move to Ramparts with alt.

Bring in shadowpriest or a lock. Also bring your alt along (2 accounts obviously), both enter the instance.

Have your lock dps the mob down to a low% health. Dot the mob up and have the lock run out of the instance. Now the mob is inside dying from the lock dots applied. Once the mob dies the alt inside gets the full xp as if it killed the mob itself.

The trick is working when to run out, too late and the alt gets the penalty of having the lvl 70 in the instace, too early and the mob could pwn the alt. I like to fear the mob if possible just before I run out to give that extra bit of safety to the alt.

For the quickest xp I recommend doing the mobs at the start of the instance, then run out/reset and rinse repeat. Hope this helps some people. Have just used this tactic from 55-58. This is not my idea, but have no yet seen it here so am sharing with you guys. Hopefully can help someone who hasn't seen it yet and wants to hit 58 ASAP to start hitting up Hellfire quests.
